I also got accepted today, interviewed Dec. 17 - in state resident.

I wonder if they look at if you have other acceptances already and make decisions based off that since it’s so late in the cycle. I know they say they don’t but I’ve heard otherwise from some. Anyone know?

That info isn’t released to schools until April

they absolutely know if you’ve been accepted to another Texas school. I was congratulated on my acceptance during an interview.

Like if you interviewed early December and see that they are accepting people from January does that mean you got passed over and wont be accepted or do you think that they may circle back and accept you before the waitlist goes out?

I think they go back to accept you after they’ve gone through all the interview applicants once and then after that, they release the waitlist.

Does anyone know if all spots have already been filled? As someone previously stated 75% of the class was filled December, It kinda seems like there aren't many spots left.

Only about 50% was full in December according to Dr. Cooley on December 3rd. Someone else recently said that 70-75% was full as of early February, and that 5 more rounds of acceptances would go out after that, with the class hopefully being full by March. There has been another wave of acceptances since then, so there are still probably 4 to go. There are still spots left. Class size is roughly 105, so there are probably 20-25 spots still unfilled.

I hope so, that’s why ill be stalking the page today. but who knows they might skip this week because of last weeks announcement

I think they will today or tomorrow. I'm not sure if they take today off for President's Day. Last year the same round came the day after President's Day.

Does anyone know if UTSD is done with the acceptance? San Antonio's class is already filled with acceptance from January interview. Houston accepted interview from January interview, too. I am afraid that Houston's class is filled like San Antonio.

I'm not sure but Houston for the past few years continues to send out acceptances until mid-late March. I don't see why this year would be any different. I just think they're a lot slower than the other two Texas schools.

Some went out on January 2nd, which was a Thursday. Last year a couple rounds went out on Tuesdays so it seems to be a little random.

They did say during my interview session that they are very slow with making decisions and admitted they were slower than San Antonio and A&M. Don't lose hope!

No idea honestly. On the bright side, we are like 2-3 weeks away from most people being either accepted or definitively rejected so the wait is almost over.

Yes he was at TAMU today so I asked him in person. He said the plan is to send out more acceptances as well as rejections and waitlists in late March.
