I had an interview nearly a month ago. I absolutely loved the school and it was the only interview I've had. I was told by the Dean that, unofficially, applicants could start to hear back in a month and latest by mid April. I haven't heard back from the school yet, and I'm wondering what to do. The general consensus on SDN seems to be that you should wait until you're waitlisted to send a letter of intent. But what about sending a letter of interest? Since a month has passed, is it too late/wise for me to send one now?

Thanks :)

Call the school, see if decisions have been made.

If yes:
Wait for decision, nothing you can do.

If no:
Ask if they accept faxes for updates and if they do, fax it.
If they do not accept faxes, e-mail them a PDF of your LOI, and tell them that one is in the mail as well. That way, if the committee is going to meet before the mail arrives, they might be able to print out the LOI and add it to your file then and there.

Good luck!
