Its very much like the supplemental
Would you say the interview questions were similar to the Casper test if you have taken it? I thought the Kira was similar in some ways, but I feel like I did a lot better on the Casper than the Kira test.

I have taken it but I would say its more similar to supplemental. This is because the majority of the interview asks you to « describe a time when you…. ». More personal to both you and the school. I highly recommend going to the admissions zoom the day before your interview. I learned a lot about the school and felt better prepared.

MMI hold this morning. Who all has gotten an MMI hold and not yet been taken off? It seems like quite a few have been invited a few days later but is there anyone who hasn’t yet? I’m worried I’ll be left wondering for weeks 🫣

Been on it since 11/10. Wish this wasn't a rolling process

How long did you all have to wait for your portal to update from in-review to interview waitlist/invite?

I am patiently waiting to get off the waitlist, this is my dream school. 🥹

Been on mmi waitlist since 11/10… is it possible to call and find out where I’m at on the list?

For those of you that got off the waitlist, did you get the notification on a Thursday or any other day? I’ve been checking the portal twice a day everyday and I’m trying to decide if I’m just too impatient and should stop that 😂

My portal updated on a Monday

I just went into Supplemental Application Review and my anxiety spiked so badly. Here's to hoping we all get interviews and can even meet in person if anyone wanted to <3

Oh boy! Good luck! When did you submit your supplemental?

I believe I submitted mine on October 7 so it took almost 2 months for me
I submitted mine on October 10th. I'm nervous to go into review because I am pretty sure I'll be waitlisted lol.

I'm pretty sure I'll be waitlisted too. I am graduating with my bachelor's at 20, so I haven't had as much time to get vet hours as other students have. I have a vet clinic I will be interning at next semester, and maybe it will be better for me to have a gap year. As nice as having a doctorate at 23 would be, that's a lot of stress at too young of an age lol. Hopefully, we get an interview, but remember that it's not the end of the world if you don't! I believe in you!!

Lol this is my third application cycle and I've already received quite a few rejections that have already made me mentally prepare for a fourth cycle, i relate to this meme hard 🤣

I feel you! I also graduated with my bachelors at 20 and I'm about to graduate with my masters at 21. I sometimes wish I took a summer or year off to gain more diverse experience rather than just small animal lol

I've considered applying for a master's degree but I don't want to go into even more debt and I have been fortunate enough to make it through my bachelor's with no debt. Is there a reason you decided to do a master's degree and what did you decide on for the major? I am planning on taking the year off after my bachelor's to gain some mixed animal (large and small and maybe some exotics) experience, while retaking a few classes to improve my GPA, but my GPA is high enough to be "competitive" which is why I am hesitant about a master's degree if it won't help me as much.

My undergrad GPA is around 3.1 so that's one of the reasons I decided to do the Masters. I mainly decided to do it to set me up for a career outside of vet med if I am not able to get into vet school. I am doing a Masters of Science in Animals and Public Policy, which would basically set me up for a career in animal welfare and advocacy. I have straight A's in my program right now so I'm hoping that my GPA will be around 3.5ish after i graduate, and if i do end up having to apply for vet school a third time ill hopefully be a more competitive applicant. Hopefully that helps!

I am currently in my master's (started August 2021) and will be graduating in May 2023. I think it was the best decision ever! I'm actually given a stipend so I'm basically being paid to take classes and do research, so I think it's incredibly worth it as I don't pay tuition or anything. I'm doing it in animal science and I'm working with poultry (specifically ducks and chickens) and I got to publish manuscripts, present at national conferences, and work with really brilliant PhD scientists and learn a bunch of cool skills. Hands down was the best decision I've made since COVID ruined my vet applying journey, and would recommend this to anyone! I know some people may think it's a waste of time, but I think it gives you some unforgettable experiences that you will most likely use in vet school too 😊 if you have any questions I'm happy to help!!

There is no ranking, as it’s not an “interview waitlist” in the traditional sense. From my understanding , everyone not chosen for an interview right away is placed on this list. It is rolling admissions, so your app is reviewed every week until interview invites have reached their cap!

I am finishing up a MPH with an emphasis in Vet PH. I wanted to raise my GPAS and further my education. There are a lot of practicing veterinarians in my program and many aspiring veterinarians in it too. It has already opened a lot of doors for me. I have no regrets!
