UC-Davis Interview?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has received an interview from UC-Davis yet?

If so, when was your app complete, and when did u receive the invitation - i.e., turnaround time?

Did you recieve the email notification that your file was complete and being reviewed by the admissions committee? I was also wondering for those who have interviewed at Davis, how long after recieving that email did they recieve an interview.

I never received any e-mails confirming any part of my app...called repeatedly...eventually they found my file and had notified me that my file had been under review for about 7 weeks and extended me an interview invite. They started interviewing about 3 weeks ago I think.

for those of you waiting on davis interview, have you tried giving them a call to see what ur status is and stuff?
its been 7 weeks since i turned in my secondary..is it acceptable for me to call and ask or are they just gonna get annoyed at me for being a pest?
also, does davis( and other uc's) wait til the end to send out all the rejections? has anyone heard from them and been given a rejection/hold for interview yet?

Are you guys saying the status check may be wrong in terms of our completeness, or did none of you use that online status check? I got an e-mail from their MD/PhD program saying my app is complete and it could be as late as mid-January before I hear anything.

no i think the online status is right...i was talking mostly about INTERVIEW status...hold pile for interview, rejected...stuff like that...the online thing is accurate

hello,
my aplication was complete around October 1st. i got email notification of it. and was offered an interview in late october. i just interviewed last week. i think you all will like it. there is no need to call about stuff i think. because CA schools are later than the out of state ones with their whole application thing. so if you haven't heard yet....they might still be looking at you and might be looking at you for a long long time or something.

I got an notice about a month and a half ago from Davis sayiny that my app was complete and that it was being reviewed. The UC's are very picky and since they get their pick of the best of the bunch, it'll probably take a while for Davis. I am personally gonna wait another month and then call them. The reason I say this is that they barely just started interviewing, so to call and ask them right now would be kind of pushy, especially this year with all the problems, etc. As for your question about rejections and holds, some of my friends have recieved rejections from UC's, so they are definetely rejecting people right off the bat. Also, I have recieved a hold for possible interview from UCSD. I don't know what that means. I guess it means, "just sit and pray." If you read around, you'll also find some people have been rejected from UC's after turning in their secondaries. The bottom line with UC's is that they have always been a little behind other schools, especially this year. But, they got their pick at the cream of the crop. I'd say just wait it out until it has been about a good 2 and 1/2 months, and then contact them. Hope this helps.

Can you give any stats about these people that've been rejected from UCs? I'm looking for that elusive cut-off where you can expect rejection(to make sure I'm above it).

BTW have you ever actually skied at Alta Resort? I'm from just down that canyon.
