What number did they call you from?

Can anyone that has already interviewed explain how it was like this year and the type of questions they had?

They called me a couple of days ago and I was about to hang up because I thought it was a scam. Glad I didn't ahhha. They don't give you much time, I got 5 days in advance. I am excited !

What was the interview format for the Zoom interview? Group or individual?

Congrats! Did your aadsas portal status change?

What was the interview format for the Zoom interview? Group or individual?

Individual, 2 individual interviews with different faculty. There are some opportunities to talk to the other applicants during breaks or at the start. There were probably around 10-12 of us in total for my day.

First thing they’ll do is give you a prompt to write an essay on. It was asking what you’d do in a situation. It’s not related to dental so you don’t have to worry about having any previous knowledge to help you respond to the prompt. I don’t think I’m allowed to say what they specifically asked. I think it was about a 20 minute time limit.

You’ll have a Q&A with the associate Dean of student services. Make sure to prepare questions!! And have extra in case someone else asks your question before you do.

I think you’ll either start with interviews or a virtual school tour depending on what group they split you up in. There will be two back to back individual interviews with different faculty. The first one was super chill and conversational. The second one was less conversational, they asked situational questions and or questions similar to “describe a difficult situation and how you handled it”.

Also, for anyone wondering... you get two 35 minute individual interviews that are closed book (they have not seen your app). There is also an essay question.

Nope, they just called me and left me a voicemail since I thought it was a spam call lol. Once I called back to confirm my interview date, they informed me that they would just send me a zoom link to my email the day before the interview.

It was alright. I got interviewed by 2 professors and it was all close file 1on1. If u'r rlly stressing, I recommend checking out the sdn interview feedback page for all the past ucla questions that people have received. But rlly no need to worry. Just relax and dont say anything inappropriate you're good.

About what time did you receive your email? I have mine tomorrow but I dont know when to expect an email

So far, we have dates until the end of November. Not sure if invites for those dates have gone out yet
Thanks for the info. From what I see, people haven’t posted about november interviews yet so that’s encouraging.
