I can answer this! I'm currently a second year and I love UGA! Classes for 1st/2nd years are at the classic campus which is on the main UGA campus and start at 8 or 9am and go until 12pm for lunch. After lunch, 1st years have anatomy lab +/- a lecture most days and 2nd years have other labs or additional lectures depending on electives. Usually you'll finish by 3-4pm. We have Wednesday mornings off for wellness Wednesday. Currently all our lectures are in person but recorded, so attendance isn't entirely mandatory (check syllabus though) if you are ok with only watching recordings. No dress code: I pretty much wear jeans and a sweatshirt every day because the classrooms can be pretty cold. The first years can tell you about the brand new anatomy lab which I hear is pretty swanky. We have open house April 1st, so if you are near by, you should definitely come visit!
 
Accepted students day is also today, so I hope you guys can make it! Even though it’s cold and rainy today, I hope you have a good time and get to see the best vet school 😀
 
Anyone know how full the UGA c/o 2026 fb page/class is? I see the # slowly creeping up even though I know some are admin/second years. Just counting down the days till April 15 and hoping for a call 🥲

The FB page link was send out to all of us who got accepted and we were told we could join it regardless of if we had decided if we were going to accept our seat or not. So if I were you I wouldn’t worry too much about how many people are in it because I’m sure there’s many in there like myself who joined as we were waiting to hear back from other schools and make our decision. I just heard back from my IS this week so I will be declining my OOS seat at UGA soon and leaving the fb page so hopefully one of y’all will get called soon!

I talked to the financial aid office and a few of the student ambassadors and it seems like the earliest we could get it would be 10 days before classes begin. Some of the ambassadors said they didn’t get theirs until mid august though.

Oh wow, so I guess we won't be able to factor that into our decision process lol. Does UGA ever give any grants/scholarships to incoming students? I guess if they don't then it won't matter much

Sorry I haven’t checked on here in awhile. I think we will know what our award is in April or May, we just don’t get the money until around the time classes start. And as far as I know there are no scholarship for 1st years.
 
Was accepted off the waitlist at my top choice school so I'll be removing myself from UGA's. Best of luck to those still waiting and I look forward to working with all of you someday!
 
Anyone else hear from UGA’s IS waitlist? I know there’s the weekend to get through, but I’m actually losing hope lol 😣
 
Parker wasn’t in the office this week to notify people which means if there’s movement on that list, you likely won’t hear until sometime next week hopefully. Fingers crossed!

Just got called off the waitlist!! OOS, no idea what to do now since I already committed at Illinois but we’ll see!
 
Has anyone been able to contact Parker or anyone in admissions about their waitlist rank since 4/15? I emailed them about a week ago and haven't heard back. I'm trying to make a decision on another school, but would like to know where I stand with UGA

I emailed once on 04/15 and tried to follow up today . . . but no response. I am in the same situation with a different school. Has anyone heard anything from the SC contract waitlist?

You guys should call instead! He said that his phone has been ringing nonstop, but if you’re persistent then you’ll probably be able to reach him. I’ve already spoken to him three times since Monday regarding my rank.
 
My daughter spoke to him yesterday! She got her rank and it looks unlikely she will get in this time. Congrats to y'all that did!
