Has anyone heard of any new developments regarding UIW med school?

Has anyone heard of any new developments regarding UIW med school?

Outside of ground being broken to establish the foundation of the school, that's all I've heard.

So UIW College of Osteopathic Medicine is a go.

It's a go. First class in 2017. Waiting to see what tuition will be.

Great news. Do you have idea since thay are a private school if they will accept oos? Last article I read mentioned that they will not recieve state money.

That haven't put out too much news in that regard. Their website still just has generic info on it. (http://www.uiw.edu/som/)
I highly doubt they will receive any state funding. But that in-turn means they will likely be more open to OOS applicants. It certainly won't be a TCOM situation where something like 85% have to be in-state.

They may end up receiving some subsidies, but because they are private, the majority of their funding will come from tuition/fees.
