We aren’t allowed to disclose the specific questions asked, but the experience was very straight forward! Use the time that they give you to prepare, write down some thoughts, brain storm, etc. You will have some questions of “what would you do in this situation,” others describing what parts of their mission/vision means to you, and just general questions about yourself like challenges, skills, etc. That’s all I can share to keep it fair for everyone and to uphold the liability waiver of the assessment, but you won’t get any crazy questions or things you won’t know how to answer. Have some diverse experiences you can talk about and focus on how they relate to the schools values and you’ll do fine!

Just going to post this here so ppl have a sense of how the interview cycle works at UNE (and pretty much every school):

I submitted 1st day out of the cycle. Got an interview like last week. The kira is basically the “interview” so no not everyone gets it. I belive out of the 800 something applicants, only like 200-250 get the invite. And of those 250ish, half get an acceptance offer. This way this allows them to fill their 68 seats in time. Last year I got the interview kira post dec but i’m a reapplicant this year and got it pre dec. Last year I was waitlisted after interview since I got the interview pretty much at the very end of the cycle. But this year it came almost 5-6 months before so i’m optimistic on an acceptance on dec 13th!

I belive tho in pre dec they only send out around 125 interview invites so there’s a good amount to come post dec. They’re only allowed to send out that many cuz it’s the rules. You can’t send out more acceptances than how many seats there actually are pre dec. So of those 125, they’re calculating around 1/2 will accept which would fill the 68 total seats. But usually only 1/3 of that 125 accept the offer each year. So that remaining 20 something seats is usually held for the post dec interviews. Pre dec interviews are usually beneficial to you cuz you’ll get a solid answer by Dec 13th. If you have a post dec, makes it a little harder since they can answer all the way up to the 1st day of class if you’re stuck on the waitlist (what happened to me last year, waited all the way up to the 1st day and then finally got the rejection letter from the waitlist with an interview done). All in all, be optimistic, the cycle has only begun. If you don’t hear back by Feb then i’d be getting concerned. B/c a past feb interview basically means you’re competing on the waitlist and you don’t rlly want to be in that position. Keep reaching out to the school after Dec 13th and keep esperessing your interests. That usually helps, just don’t bug them before that date because they get annoyed.

likely a waitlist. same thing happened to me last year, i didn't hear from them on decision day and got the official waitlist email a month later
