no, white suit, you aren't alone. i had one interviewer actually try to argue with me if it makes you feel better. i stood my ground, it could be beneficial or detrimental...we'll see. :laugh:

I had one who was looking at me like I was an idiot.

haha nope. i think that is really unprofessional for the interviewer to do that. i mean, it is clearly stated that you are not supposed to engage in any other conversation once your piece is over.

i kind of felt like one interviewer tried to argue with me too. maybe it was the ulterior motive of the station? perhaps the interviewer was meant to design a follow up question that argues with you and they want to see how you react? maybe? i dunno.
 
so, what types of interesting wardrobe did you guys see?

ill start..

black and white pinstripe suit, although it wasn't that out of the norm

but then there was one in a green top and bottom.. with waldo's socks

i believe that one could rival the red checkered shirt, shark skin jeans and white shoes

I mean since he came in we went to the finals three times and won twice. What more can he do? Although the Kevin Love and 2nd pick overall pick trade from this years draft is intriguing. UCLA legend and 2010-2011 double double king brings some more toughness to LA. mmmm

Gasol is like the pharmacist who usually handles everything very well, has all the right skills and tools, but when the going gets a little tough with a difficult patient, he comes up small and flustered and ends up advancing 30 tablets of oxycontin.
 
Do any of you mind sharing what your gpa's are, I want to get a general sense of what people are getting. I am at 80 and pcat 86, but I didn't do good for my interview, so I'm a little worried. Appreciate it!

clippers were definitely worth watching this year at least. I am a raptors fan (not a good time to be one these days) so I am hoping these guys draft kemba walker

It's supposed to be 50% GPA, 30% interview, 20% for application and PCAT (coming from the pharmacist I volunteered for who recently graduated from UBC and also from a couple of pharmacy students I know at UBC). So if you had good GPA and application, your PCAT score will not hold you back 🙂

I was looking at earlier pages and saw this, but someone also posted that interview is 40% and the application+pcat is 10%...does anyone know whether interview is worth 30% or 40%?

I had my interview on the first day and I started checking my email from the day after my interview
 
Every now and then, I randomly think of a great answer to one of the interview questions that was asked. And then I think about the tangents I veered off onto instead. Oh well! c'est la mort!
 
Do you guys think the average will be lower because of the increased number of seats?

Makes sense that it would be, but everyone's stats seem impressive still.

there are 1.05 million people in Saskatchewan

there is 1 pharmacy school in BC
there is 1 pharmacy school in Saskatchewan

anyone want to go to Saskatchewan with me?
 
just talked to someone who just got accepted into UBC med.. apparently its normal to feel horrible after the interview XD

Saskatchewan has less than half the seats UBC has in their pharmacy school. And they only accept 14 or so out of province students last I checked. So the logic doesn't really work out.
 
i know, 90 seats and 14 for OOP, but it's times like these when i wish i were raised in the prairies with the cows

kidding aside, what defines a 'resident' of a province anyway? do you have to be in the province for a certain amount of time? can you just move to the province and apply as a resident?

I think you have to have lived their for a certain number of years (how they verify this is not clear to me though). Although I was reading their website a while ago and i believe they said that "border towns" like flin flon, MB and lloydminister, AB are considered residents for the purposes for application, so I suppose they are fairly reasonable.

I heard that University of Manitoba tells you point-blank not to apply if you are OOP.

Also, as an Albertan, I have to say that mountains and lush greenery >>> prairies and cows any day. At least you can get both here, sort of.

The website says that we'll be told within 10 days of the last interview (that would put us at next Wednesday the LATEST) but the pink slip we got after the interview says that it will be no later than the first week in July (so that could very well mean we won't know until the week after next).
 
Someone already in the program mentionned that she got the notification around 5 days after the last interview... so here's to wishfull thinking 😛

I wonder if they will send the rejections at the same time ....

I think the rejections would be sent at the same time and the ones who don't get any email are waitlisted.

Oh my god, I hope it's by Wednesday! I can't wait til the week after. That's just torture.

I am predicting Monday.
 
Why does it take so long to rank the applicants after the interview? Aren't rankings just computed by a formula on the computer?

Good luck everyone 🙂 I rmb when I got my admission offer last summer I had to silently scream for 5 minutes because I was at work!
 
When was the last batch of interviews for you guys? I was one of the last ones to be interviewed on Sunday. We found out after Canada Day...on Monday July 5th.
