ACCEPTED!
I'm IS, last name starts with a T and I live in Chicago. The decision came in a thin, white envelope. Good luck to those still waiting!

FWIW, the paper actually has a University of Illinois watermark! 😉But here's the thing. It's on printer paper. Like everything else.
So happy for you! You're gonna be a vet! 😀ACCEPTED!I'm IS, last name starts with a T and I live in Chicago. The decision came in a thin, white envelope. Good luck to those still waiting!

Awwww, thanks @Felixor90! I'm crossing my fingers for you down in Florida! Maybe we'll be classmates in the fall! 🙂So happy for you! You're gonna be a vet! 😀
This (x100000000). I didn't even notice it! I wonder how I missed it after staring at it for a good 2 hours! 😛FWIW, the paper actually has a University of Illinois watermark! 😉
Just got my acceptance in the mail this afternoon!!

I'm an IS applicant but the address they are sending my letter to is in SE Missouri because that's where I go to school and I haven't gotten mine yet. I'm thinking tomorrow will be the day!Has anyone OOS heard anything yet? I live in SW Missouri, so my letter doesn't have too far to come, but it sounds like IS acceptances went out first. Anxiously awaiting...![]()
It's not too common to have a separate thread for each school's class. There is however a Class of 2019 thread, that's where all SDNers of each class kinda gatherIs there an official UIUC CVM C/O 2019 thread for SDN? I know they'll send out a Facebook invitation to our class, but was wondering if it was a thing on SDN. Do they do those? I'm relatively new to SDN.
^Just way too caught up in the happiness today. I don't think it's sunk in quite yet.
I'm in the same boat (though I am in Michigan) So maybe we will get it tomorrow...Still anxiously waiting over here... I'm IS but currently living in Kansas City, so maybe that's why mine hasn't come yet. Keeping my fingers crossed that it comes tomorrow!
Yep. Still waiting in MI with you.I'm in the same boat (though I am in Michigan) So maybe we will get it tomorrow...
I just don't want to be one of the few who gets the portal update before the actual letter.
Lies. DVMD is always mean always 😉You are odd. 😉
(I say this lovingly, not in a mean way)
I'm tempted to just drive and see if they'd tell me in person! Not really. Maybe.Wish they did next day delivery for these letters. I'd pay more for the Illinois supplemental fee if my letter got here sooner![]()
I was thinking about writing this in the survey you're asked to take after this whole thing is over. Or they could at least give you the option. Like you get the option of paying $10 more and they use that to ship it with priority mail. I know it's gonna take at least a week for it to get down to Miami. :/Wish they did next day delivery for these letters. Accepted!! OOS 😀
Yes!Very exciting! Was your letter postmarked Wednesday?
Maybe if we all call they'll take pity on us and update it on Monday . . . :/Hmm time to call and figure out when the portals are being updated!
Mine is going to take forever D: Maine is so far from Illinois, and there's snow coming today which will probably delay it even more!
I didn't mean we should pester them. More like call and cry on the phone and offer our first-borns in exchange for our admissions status. My problem is my mailman delivers my mail to other people 😕
And i agree let's pester them so they take pity on us!

I will have to agree with them in that opening your acceptance letter is more memorable than checking your status online. However, it's not worth the anxiety of checking your mailbox day after day only to be disappointed. In the event that the portal is updated before I receive the letter, I will still be super excited to get the letter afterwards (assuming I got in of course) but it'll save me the weeks of psychological torture.Haha true we could try that approach instead! Seriously though why can't they take a more modern approach in addition to the official letters...![]()
