University of Minnesota Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

I'm thinking they didn't maybe send out a lot of acceptances yesterday because based off facebook and here, only a few people have heard? Maybe that's just me being optimistic haha
 
Is letter of intent now a good idea? I think I have stated pretty clear umn is my top choice during the interview though... or maybe this waiting deal is getting me really anxious lol.

I feel like it’s alright to send one now especially since I’m guessing they'll start to fill up the rest of the class within this month and the next. If anything, it’ll just reiterate your interest and show that you’re really dedicated to the school!

Update: I called admissions and they told me they weren't even aware of the Jan 31st date for acceptances being a thing lol. They told me they are interviewing through the end of February and that this is a very active time period because a lot of people are accepting/denying spots! They also said they have a very short and active waitlist so if you get waitlisted it's a good thing! Also reiterated that no news is good news and that we should expect to hear more around mid March. They said interviews will end at the end of Feb and that by mid-March they will have compared most applicants so around then is when we should expect to hear. They also told me there are still a lot of seats open for the class of 2025 and that there is still time for sure! Hope this gives all of us some hope!!!

Yeah me too lol, but they were super nice about it and said to not be too stressed yet. I'm guessing a lot of people are holding multiple acceptances right now too so by mid-March is when he said they will have a way better idea of the class and by then they will have compared all the interviewees so we just have to be a bit more patient!!
 
Is Minnesota still offering interviews? I applied in June and my AADSAS status changed to “under review” about 2 weeks ago.

I know they’re interviewing till the end of Feb and they usually give interview invites out about one to two weeks in advance so I’d assume there’s still some invites to go!
 
Huzzah! Just received an interview! Applied 1/15- had to send more rec letters because they don’t accept committee. Everything was verified first of Feb.

Well I am from the South and not a lot of students I talk to know about it, but the dentists I know all day hands down it is a really good school. On top of that they have the research fellowship program.

I may be biased because I'm in state and went to the U for undergrad, but it is a pretty great school 🙂 If you have any questions about the school, feel free to message me! I interviewed a couple weeks ago!
 
Does anyone who has access to the class list know how many seats have been filled?
 
Does anyone know a rough estimate when you hear back after an interview?
 
I bet they will wait till they are done with all the interviews. I was told they purposely left spots open. In my interview letter it said we are interviewing for spots that are open.

Nobody has really heard back since the first round of acceptances on December 15th so I think they’ll release the next batch in a bulk too - probably by end of Feb would be my guess?
 
If anyone has wrote a letter of interest/intent here, how long did it take for you to hear back?
 
Has anyone heard back that has had a February interview?
