Ditto!![]()
Just checked and mine was also updated. Tier 1 baby!!!![]()
Lol we'll see.
Yeah I don't know about that...according to some, we stand ZERO chance. 🙁
Why do you say that?
I don't ever recall him saying that.
I don't ever recall him saying that.
"For any CA school you're basically going to have to have a 4 year degree by matriculation... Especially for UoP"
I mean maybe he didn't say we have no chance in those exact words, but I'm pretty sure that's what he was implying.
To musicman:
I know his intentions were not to be discouraging, only to be realistic. I understood that, and I understand the statistics.
@mandydp6
I already do have a 4 year degree....I think he meant those that are applying without the intention of getting a 4 year degree.....but anything is possible if you want it bad enough so don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something!!!!!!!
Hi
I was able to find UOP on pharmCAS Early Bird list and sign up for it. But i did read on a web site (affiliated with uop) that they are not prticipating in this program.
Which one is true???
I wish you guys the best of luck. I'm sure the Tier 1 and outstanding grades will definitely help :0)
I went over the checklist, and didn't see that UOP requires applicants to send in transcript with the supplemental application? Is that correct?
They don't require you to do so unless it's on a case by case basis.
By the way Delano2000, I am a citizen, does I still have to give them a photocopy as a proof similar people who are permanent residents?
Not if you indicate that you are a citizen. Since I am a permanent resident, I had to provide proof.
It is the same as early decision.I'm not sure what an "Early Bird List" is.
It is the same as early decision.
So how come it was listed on pharmCAS??!!
I submitted my supplemental application on 8/25. Does that mean I'm in tier 2 even though I'm missing 1 letter of rec because my professor still has not submit it.

I actually think they need that LOR (if it's one of the two required ones) before your application is considered complete. So if it is after September 1st that he or she submits it, then you would be Tier 3.
They go by the date that all your stuff was received by PharmCAS, so if it has not been received, it is not complete.
Dang is it already the end of the month? I am seriously considering delaying my applications again until next cycle. Will have my bachelors by then.
Delano! Stop with the madness! If ANYTHING, even if we don't get offered a seat anywhere this cycle, won't the experience gained from this be beneficial for next cycle? Especially if we are at least invited for interviews?!?

The liberal arts requirement for Uop is 28 semester units. Does it matter if you go over? I put 39 units into the checklist and I'm wondering if it would be frowned upon.
Once I figure this out, I'm finished with this supplemental!
No. Why would that be frowned upon?
If I get an interview then I will be happy and will definitely be attending. I was talking about the other schools that I have not applied to yet. Just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.
They might just want 28 units flat. The instructions stated " Liberal arts must total 28-semester or 42-quarter units". I'm just making sure it is ok
Thanks for the reply
I'm not sure if it will be "frowned upon", but I know you only need to fill in the requirements...if you haven't submitted yet, I would remove the extras.
Thanks 🙂
Did anyone apply to UOP with over 28 liberal arts units on their supplemental?
For sure! That's why I'm applying to multiple schools! I hope hope hope hope hope hope (X 1,000) that I can start somewhere next fall, but if I don't, the bright side is I will be able to finish my degree.
Who is second on your list after your state school?
Thanks 🙂

I am applying with a BA in psychology and a minor in biology so I have way over the required amount of liberal arts uniits required...probably over 100 semester units. This requirement is just to make sure that explore other subject material as opposed to just science so that you are more well rounded.
Since I read that you guys are mentioning Liberal Arts class, what happen if the Liberal Art courses I listed under Liberal Arts section are not the courses that UOP wants, will they even bother to look over my whole transcript for those courses? 😕
I'm a little confused...why would you not have included the courses required for their program? I mean, I really don't know what they would do in that situation. I'm sure they could look at your transcript, but they may send you a letter saying you are missing some coursework.
Or, if you're just implying that you put other coursework there was in addition to what was required, then I'm sure you're fine.
Again, little confused on your question, sorry wasn't much help 😕
Sorry for confusing you. I actually put all my courses (which i think they are liberal arts) under the Liberal Art sections, however, the part I'm unsure about is whether those LA courses are the ones that UOP specifically looking for.
In addition to English, Public speaking, Psychology, macroeconomics that UOP wants. I also included "Other Liberal Arts" courses such as sociology, anthropology, political science, philosophy, US history, and chinese.
Hope this clarifies my previous question. 😉
Ohhh than yes, you'll be fine I presume! As long as you put what's required, then adding extra won't hurt. I didn't add anything extra, but others did, so I don't think it matters.
