No, that's why I'm in such shock that I received an invitation! I was really anticipating a deferral letter at best. I am so pleasantly surprised!!!!

I just know the date I am interviewing on, which is Oct. 15th. I don't know any other available dates but I do know they usually just interview on fridays...I think.

Well when you called, did she give you a choice of different dates, or did she pretty much tell you the 15th was what was available?

I'm tier 1. Sorry I typed wrong the date I submitted. I submitted on 07/30 , not 08/30 . I just got my checklist today 09/18 and i'm in North Cal.

I think it may depend on the day they received you application and then based on that, they send out the other info then .

I think you may be right. I had my app complete date as 8/1 on the website.

You and me both Muchacho (except I'll be the happiest woman on Earth, obviously)! I have been kinda bummin the last couple weeks not having high hopes so today was a MAJOR confidence booster. I'm just glad to have been given this opportunity, and I'm proud I've gotten this far.
Your Pacific, OR application still says in progress - are you still debating on finishing it?

Decided not to complete it the supp app. I am just gonna stick to the 2 I applied to this cycle and see what happens.

She pretty much just told me that it would be the 15th.

She pretty much just said...I have Oct 15th for you...and I just ok great. I didn't want to be picky haha. And its from 12:30 to four.

That's weird that AZ and Texas residents received theirs but not SoCal. Most likely tomorrow for you! It seems like every Tier 1 person on SDN received an interview so far! That's great!

Yea that is kinda weird. Mine was dated 09/15 on the letter.

Now it would be nice if all of us got accepted.😉
 
10/15 interview spots has been filled. so i'm scheduled for 10/29 12:30pm
 
I'm scheduled at 12:30 on Oct 15th too...see everyone there!!!!

I'm in SoCal (Los Angeles to be specific) and I just received the letter for the interview today so everyone in SoCal hang in there!! Oddly enough the letter's dated Sept 15. Can't believe it took this long for it to get here

I'm pretty sure she told me she'd send a confirmation in the MAIL, not email.

Mandy is right. It comes in the regular mail. It's basically just confirmation of the date that you're scheduled, directions to the school and a map of the campus. Mine showed up yesterday
 
has anybody heard that stockton is the most dangerous city in the u.s?
that sounds super scary!!! where do we live then... in the outskirts?
i heard it has a lot of VIOLENT crime.. 🙁
im applying really late.. cuz i didnt know if i wanted to live ther..
cuz i have a child... :scared:
 
I got the list sheet like 3,4 days ago but i have not heard any interview invitation yet. waiting makes me worried 🙁

well I've been going to Stockton weekly for the last year and a half, and I'm not too worried. I do hear about gangs and crimes, but honestly that's everywhere. For example, I'm from Oakland, so it's not much safer in my hometown lol I'd actually say stockton feels way more safe than many parts of oakland, it's a relief at least for me.

There's also gated housings, that's definitely safe. Areas around the school is also nice, and main streets like March Lane is fine. The city itself looks beat-up, but what do you expect?

I did go into the malls by myself once (the mall looks new), and that was the most uncomfortable experience. I thought I'd get robbed by one of many groups of men loitering. :scared: thank God nothing happened. I guess I'll just have to drive to Sac for shopping if I get in UOP, which is only a half a 40-min drive.

Just got home and checked the mail and there it was 🙂
I'm so excited, nervous, and still surprised! I kinda wish this wasn't my first interview so I could have some practice, but I'll just have to give it my best and start prayin!

Got mine today as well. Actually gonna book the flight tonight and look into a rental vehicle. Did you decide what hotel you will be staying at? I need to start calling around to make reservations.

Hi,

I live in Stockton and I think it is worse on paper than what it feels like. The neighborhood I live in is very calm, people walk, run and bike in the mornings, afternoons and at night. My brother lives here also and he has three kids ages 12, 3 and 1. Yes, some areas are BAD (and i mean bad)...so just stay away from those spots lol.

I'm staying at the comfort inn off march lane. That's where I stayed for preview day and I was happy with it. Only about 5 minutes from campus, and very reasonably priced. I used a military discount but they give a UoP discount for the same price...$60 a night. I'll be flying into Sacramento on Friday afternoon 🙂

On Friday afternoon???? The interview check in time is Friday 12:30pm. I am sure you mean Thursday afternoon, right?
 
Are people still receiving interview letters? I am in San Diego and have not heard anything. Has anyone inquired if they are still sending them?

A couple of my friends & I are in NorCal, and we're still waiting with our fingers crossed. One of them actually called UOP, and they said that they will still be sending invites for the next few weeks.
