I still did not get an invitation to interview, and I believe I am in Tier I. I only got a letter that they are looking at applications and I should receive a letter for an interview, or defer, or denial. So nervous. Are they only sending out invitations to people who have higher GPA's like 3.9 to 3.7 range?
 
I got an interview invite, but my gpa is not in the 3.7 to 3.9 range. I'm sure you're fine and the delay is probably just due to processing time at UOP. I hope everything works out for you!

Chat Noir, in this week, it seems they have sent out the deny/defer letters by snail mail but interview invite by EMAIL.

I just got my defer letter yesterday. It was dated on Oct 4th.

I got my interview letter, but I'm definitely nowhere near the 3.7-3.9 range in science or cumulative. Everyone else is right too, you will definitely hear back from them no matter what the case.

Hey UCLA 2011,

Congrats on your interview invite! I am also in Tier 2 and I'm glad to hear that interview invites are coming for Tier 2!

Do you mind if I ask how did you receive the invite, via e-mail? Also, do you mind stating your stats (cGPA, sGPA, etc).

As UOP is one of my top choices, I am very excited to here that interview invites are coming!

I just got an interview invite too 🙂 (it was by email). In case anyone wants to know, I submitted pharmcas mid-July and the supplemental late August, so I'm tier 2.

And congrats UCLA 2011!! Which day did you sign up for?

cGPA: 3.767
sGPA: 3.8
PCAT: 93
Major: Chemistry

EC: Leadership position in a pre-health organization, Lots of research, >300 hrs volunteer work, sang in the school's choir

LOR: 2 great ones(1 PI, 1 Pharmacist), 1 I have no idea about the quality

Nice, I hope I will hear from UOP soon! We have similar stats as well, except for the EC part 🙁

Maybe that is causing the delay..

I was interviewed in Feb, and put on the waiting list, but didn't get in. I will be there again this 15th. UOP will give you a paper folder, a pen, water, cookies and napkin. Basically, you only need to bring yourself. The interviewers have your resume and PS. It may be hot this Friday. I think I have to change clothes in their building. Too hot to wear a suit outside.

Congrats everyone!!! Yeah, the November time frame sounds like more of what I expected for Tier 2's. When someone said January, that seemed really late.
 
Another user who is interviewing on the 15th came up with the idea of us going out to dinner on the Thursday night to help alleviate some of the anxiety we have building up and so we can get somewhat acquainted. Sounds like a good idea to me but if no one else is up for it then good luck on Friday.

Well ya'll, I just found out yesterday that I was accepted into my local school, so I'm going to cancel my interview at UoP in hopes that someone else may be able to take my seat even though it's last minute!

LOL...I was at war with myself on whether or not I should still have gone. A part of me felt bad that I was cancelling so last-minute (although that was out of my control lol), but on the other hand when it's all said and done, regardless of how much I liked UoP, I want to stay local.

OMG I had the worst experience traveling today. Got delayed in San Antonio, missed flight in Houston due to delay, got put on standby to a flight to san francisco instead of sacramento, had to pay 3 times the amount for a rental car in SF than what I was gonna pay in Sacramento....been traveling for over 12 hrs. I am so tired.😡🙁

WOW....sorry to hear that....I saw you at the interview today but I never got a chance to talk to you since everything was crazy....how did the interview go for you?

I did. All in all the day went smoothly. I told the faculty interviewer and her reaction was the same as yours. :laugh:

OK. I actually did meet like 2 other people that lurk around on here. What group were you in? I wish I didn't get so lost this morning so I would have been able to meet a lot more of you guys. Love the fact that they were so organized and made us feel so at ease during the entire process.

I was the guy with the shaved head in the second group....yeah today definitely made UoP a top choice school that I would want to go to. I'm actually considering UoP before UCSF now....I really liked the closeness that everyone seemed to have with each other and the multiple amount of activities to potentially get involved in.....

Yeah that was me...now that I think about it I was going to take them off before the interview and I completely forgot....were they that noticeable? I hope it didn't hurt me at all...lol!!!!

Haha. I have 4 piercings but I made sure to take my earrings out the night before because I more than likely would have forgotten about them. They were noticeable to me because I am generally observant like that. I don't think they will hurt your chances since you were being..well, yourself.
