man, hearing all you guys talk about getting accepted is making me really nervous. I interviewed 10/29, and I didn't think people would be getting their letters this early. I was just preparing for my usc interview and I just read all of these acceptances, mannnn I'm so nervous!

Okay I emailed Veronica and she told me that tier 1 hold applicants have no priority over tier 2 or 3 hold applicants. Whether we are admitted in March depends on how strong our application is.

I thought so... Thanks for the info. RD. I wonder how UOP ranks their students. Looking through the forum, I can only say that the overall quality of the interview is the main criteria in CA pharm schools. Any thoughts?

Yeah that's what I was thinking too!!!! At least we will be more prepared for UCSF...hahahaha.....I already started preparing for that interview....hopefully we get an interview invite.....I'm pretty sure we will hear some good news from UoP in March though....it the extended waiting that is unbearable!!!!
 
has anyone that interviewed 10/15 NOT heard back yet?

Just got the invite for an interview!😀 I am tier 3 (submitted supplemental in mid-September). Surprised it came so early...

I withdrew my application.. heh😳 I realized that I don't want to rush my pharmacy education and go through the stress of an accelerated program. If I was going to do 3-years, I would much rather it be in a year-round structure where the pace is still relatively the same as a 4-year.

Well, to my understanding, students there get summer off. Classes start Aug 30th and end May 20th. Class is in session for 7hrs/day (not including weekends). Those who fail classes have to retake them in Summer which, from what I hear, is not uncommon there.

Mmm didn't know that. Still a little confused as to how they could fit the 4yrs into 3 yrs if they have summers off.
 
Is UOP still sending out interview invites to Tier 2....I submitted my application in mid August and still haven't gotten an interview invite...I am worried now :scared:
 
I don't think you should worry because I was in Tier 1 and I had my interview last week.

Yeah, but what is strange is that Tier 1 has multiple interview dates and Tier 2 only has 1 date so far (Nov 19). Apparently, it seems that interview invites for Tier 3 have started already, leaving the remaining Tier 2 applicants hanging.

That's weird...I definitely thought they were year round.
I only asked because you said it was your top choice and then didn't see it on your sig. So now who's your first? Lol...congrats on Nova...and what's the status on MWU?
 
So the UoP curriculum is 3 years and allows students to take summers off?

Yeah, I asked about that during my interview and I used to live there. It's actually not that bad, just try to avoid the more shady areas and have some street smarts and don't leave valuables in plain sight in your car and things like that. The campus itself is pretty safe too from what I was told.

*Sigh* Oh well. I'm going to do my best for my USC interview tomorrow. Hopefully that will go according to plan :xf:

same here! I got good and bad news today. Got accepted to Northstate, but put on hold for UOP. What a bummer. I also have the USC interview tomorrow! Maybe I'll see you there!

I was wondering... I asked for an extension and I have until Dec. 1 to respond to Touro... do you think I should accept, send in the $2K and wait to hear back about USC in March? That's $2K I could be forfeiting, but at least it's a guarantee that I get to go to school. What do you guys think?

If I were in the same situation I would put up the 2k. Yeah it is lame to lose out on that much money if you get into another school, but you never know what could happen and its better than waiting for another year and going through the entire process again.

I'm sorry buddy...at least you've been accepted somewhere else! It looks to be the case that the majority of the people were put on hold, which means I would think that all the holds still have a really strong chance for acceptance, they'll just have to wait until later to find out.

We'll be waiting till March together....Luckily I was accepted at California Northstate today so at least I have some security!!!!

Congrats! The most important thing is really getting in somewhere. Hopefully I will see you at UoP next fall though.

Thanks everyone.....yeah I will just wait it out till March and if I get accepted to UoP that's where I'll go.....It's just a great feeling to know that I am going to pharmacy school regardless of what happens!!!!!

That is the best way to look at it. Plus people will start to decline seats once they get accepted to their top choices so that is something to look forward to as well.👍

I was in the same position and already put my deposit for Touro and waiting to hear from UOP in March.
