If I understand correctly, I think he'll be able to veto the lynch as mayor, but that is a one time thing, right? So even if we cannot actually lynch him today, if he uses up his veto and we still think he needs to go later in the game, he won't have the veto anymore.

I am going to give SOV the benefit of the doubt. His role seems likely, and I think if he was a wolf, his seer results would have said "Wolf".

Plus, I don't think he would risk getting elected as mayor if he was likely to be investigated right away.

Well that's sure a way to start a game off with a bang. Two of us killed, right off the bat.

Wonder if the knife was a) an item/role in the hands of a wolf, b) a vigillante villager with an item/villager with attack role, or c) and unanswered PM that got RNG'd. 🙁

Or, option d) Perhaps two wolf groups? Might be far fetched for this small game, but anything is possible.

I meant the Wolf of the group not of the game. I'm hypothesizing off of other people's ideas too.

I just want to clarify this now, wolves can be spread out or there is a chance that there could be more than one wolf in a group. It is typically done by a random number generator. Also, considering the size of this game to start, I think 5 wolves might have been a bit much and we do have 5 groups, so there is a possibility that a group is wolf free, or there could be more than one group wolf-free, we won't know until we find all of the wolves. I just don't like getting caught up in the one wolf/group mentality, because it is not always true.

I am also going to lynch SOV.

Maybe and maybe not. We don't know what abilities that he received as mayor, a veto could have been one of them, but lately people have been moving away from a veto for other abilities. It really is just dependent upon the mod(s).

I would like for you to answer Tucker's question before I decide on anything. I think it's kind of sketchy that you ignored that question. But it sort of seems like you won't be on again 😕

On the other hand, SOV makes it seem like even if we do lynch him, it won't have an effect on him ("You can lynch me but I ain't going anywhere) so I'm not sure if he's just calling our bluff or if that's really true and he can avoid the lynch.

For now since I'm going back into work and don't know if I'll be back in time for the deadline, I'm going to lynch SOV. Don't really like that he has a kill ability, villager or wolf regardless. If you participate then you have nothing to be afraid of. If you are a wolf and want to fly under the radar, forget about it.

A lot of wolves have been silent and getting away with it the last few days. Participate and risk making stupid comments like above, or be killed for being silent. Those are the choices, and I agree with the mods.

Silence, and coming on once a day just to vote are not choices anymore.

So I buy SOV's role. That said, from a numbers standpoint if he's taking out an extra villager every night I'm hard-pressed to see how it helps us much.

I hope you don't always get "the four lowest posters" or whatever...I mean...someone has to be on the bottom of the list, even if we are all posting 10x/day, someone will be on bottom.

Maybe it's only if someone is posting less than 3x/actual (24 hour) day or something.

For what it's worth, btw, I don't think KB is a wolf. We've been talking a little, and I really think she's just feeling out game mechanics and strategies.

No proof or anything, but I think she's a villager. And she really did sign up on SDN JUST for this game. I'm willing to give her time. But then again, I'm in her group and have been talking to her, whereas you guys are just getting what's been said on the thread.

No one has any other info? I'm inclined to believe that SOV is for real a villager, too. But I think having a "must kill" (must you kill, SOV, or can you choose not to use it for a night?) ability is kinda dangerous. Definitely more dangerous than a newbie plain vanillla villager, if you don't have any info to kill on, but must use your ability.

I hate that she almost always gets lynched in one of the first lynches, but the only posts she's had so far in here are to elect SOV and to lynch Nohika.

I usually pull from the bottom of the post count if I'm doing a RNG type lynch, and I feel like both SOV and KB are actually participating, so if they're both villagers, they should get a chance to play.

If all you've done is elect someone and lynch someone...that's a little negligent on playing. Swings and Alors were camping, so they can get a free pass, this IMHO.

Not actually sure if it is an everyday thing. We will see. But, the whole point of me as mayor is to funnel info. If I know who to avoid, we increase the odds if killing wolves. I should be able to do much better than random chance at getting wolves....and privy to info, hopefully better than lynches.....
