UOP Interview

Anyone unable to check their status on the checklist page due to an error? Anyone know what the fix is? I turned off all my security stuff and ad blockers and all it does it refresh the page with nothing showing up or if I try changing my birthday to different formats it says HTTP 500 interal server error.

By the way, they told me I should see a date and my application is in review.

for those that havn't receive the letter yet.. don't lose hope..
for those that are in the "hold" status.. sorry to say.. mostly likely you will receive the rejection letter in april/may..

hi guys, im pretty new to this forum but i just got a letter that told me my application is deferred til jan. Does this mean im doomed?

hi! i just had my interview at pacific on 11/2. i'm from out of state though (chicago). im EXTREMELY nervous. does anyone know exactly how many out of staters get in?? i really really really really wanna go to pacific

So far I haven't gotten anything but a PCHK letter from UOP, and I'm not even sure if I'm in the "hold" status. I checked my status on-line and I just have a PCHK date (Oct 20). How will I know if I'm on hold? and What's a deferral letter?

I will be there tooo GULP!!! Lol. Im also nervous..... and the 2 midterms that I have on thursday, the day before, are definitely NOT helping to pacify me. LOl.
It would be nice to meet you guys in person. Feel free to PM me! HOw have you guys been preparing? Ive just been researching the school and stocking up on pharm knowledge.

you will receive a letter regarding ur status.. if you still havn't receive letter from them, i guess they are still reviewing your application.

Yeah~ I got a defferal letter too. =(
This sucks. I didn't think my stats were that bad, and I have plenty of pharmacy and research experience. They mentioned something about o-chem, and I got A's in both semester. Boohoo.
Question. Why don't they reject us now if they eventually will? Do we have any hope? Have you been talking to someone in the admissions commitee?
This is really depressing.I really wanted to get into UOP.
Oh well, one down, two more schools to go.

I remember 2 people there from Chicago that day at introductions and the other person was an older Asian guy. UOP does take out of state people in small amounts. I think they had at least 10 from out of state last year. I would think that as long as you made very clear that UOP was your first choice you have a really good chance. Being from Chicago, you have Midwestern which is on the easier end of pharmacy schools to get into, so I would think they just want to make sure you would come if they offer you a spot. As you can see from that day, the majority of people are from California, I think you two from Chicago were the only out of state people. Maybe they want some geographic diversity and you'll get a spot. Well, we should find out very soon, no later than the 2nd week of december, hopefully before then.

i am extremely nervous about pacific. i just had my interview at midwestern yesterday and the school did not impress me as much as pacific did. crossing my fingers!!!
 
I would take the first school that offered me a spot....because at the end your goal is to be a pharmacist....

honestly i think i have a good stats too. I am a reapplicant.. last yr i was the first group for the interview and were put on the waiting list.. i don't understand why i got the deferral letter so early. and i know someone who has not complete the pre req and is in tier 2 got invited to interviews. i didn't call them regarding it, they are going to tell me that they will let us know once they have a decision blah blah blah all those stuff.. why bother.... i have two more schools to go too.. Good luck!

they give every student a water bottle at check-in, so you're in luck. 😀

Hey post any info about your interview? Like when did they tell you that the results of your interview will be out and how did you do (etc.......)

I am so exhausted LOL! Just got back to davis a little while ago and then went to dinner. My tummy was growling towards the end of the interview but atvian... the cookies were good. LOL

I thought the interview went well. I was myself and hopefully they liked me. I got interviewed the student who was the head of interviews. It was quite intimidating when she told me that. LOL. BUt she was very pleasant and she made me feel at ease.

They told our interview group that we would hear before the holidays. However, my friend at UOP told me that she did not receiver her acceptance until january. UOP has finals in the first week of december so the staff will be busy handling that.

I hope we hear soon though. I am quite on edge. I hope I did good. I don't think I would have said anything different. However, i am affraid I did talk to much. LOL

Has anyone heard anything? Another interviewee told me that people had already been accepted to UOP and had placed their deposit.
If I got my accpetance letter, I would DEFINITELY SAY YES and pay the $2000 right away.

I hope we all get in!

Someone already accepted? wow!

I talked a lot during the interview too, but was not so comfortable with the student interviewer, the faculty interviewer was much better, :laugh:

good luck to everyone, I am hoping to hear from UOP soon, but what I can do now is just waiting....

You are saying people already got accepted . I was one of the first to get interviewed and havent heard anything. They said it would take 4-6 weeks. It has been 4 weeks for me so far. Is your fellow interview buddy reliable because I heard from people that are in the school right know say that you just have to pay 500 dollars to reserve your spot...

Same here. I interviewed on 10/26 and they said we should hear from them by late November or early December. (4-6 weeks.) It's only been 3 weeks, so I'm thinking it'll be at least another 1-3 weeks before I hear anything.

I'm surprised they've already sent out acceptance letters. I haven't heard of anyone getting one though.
 
Sounds like a case of school mix-ups. Touro has been accepting students for weeks now and requires a $2000 deposit.

I know you took my advice haha. Hopefully, those were enough to satify your anxiety. I heard they will contact us around christmas. I wonder anyone really got accepted that would make me nervous. Anyways, was the head of the student interviews some petite asian girl?
 
I don't think UOP sent out acceptance letters yet. I think you're getting UOP mixed up with Pacific University in Oregon, which did accept a couple of people recently. The deposit is $500 for UOP or at least it was before.

Everybody is nice at the interview and everyone I talked to said they thought their interview went well. I have no idea how they pick you from the interview. You just don't know until you get the letter. I think it's big envelope, the size of a sheet of paper if you get in and a small envelope if you didn't. Hope that your mail box is crammed from the big envelope. I'm hoping so. 😀

Sorry... don't kill the messenger lol. Like I said, another interviewEE told me this.I don't know if it is true or not. Anyways.... I hope we all get big fat envelopes lol. THen we will all be celebrating.

Im so anxious because i thought that i did good in the interview but now i don't know anymore.

We shall see what happens tho.......UGH..... i know that the anxiety is going to kill me....

YOu really stirred up a response with that posting about people getting accepted....LOL...I strongly feel your source is off...My source told me that no one has been sent any letters yet...and 500 dollars is the required down payment....so shame on you girl for freaking everyone out:laugh:

I got my PCHK 11/06 also....I am waiting to hear back too!.....Hopefully we will hear good news soon! Good Luck!😀

Sorry for freaking you all out guys. I apologize. I was kinda upset when she told me that people had already been accepted. But i researched the website and the deposit is $500 like yazzman said. I think she did get confused between UOP and Pacific University.

UOP said that they will let us know before the holidays. I am crossing my fingers. Im so nervous. Im trying to study for an ecn midterm but all i can think about is UOP. :scared:
