Tier 3 as well... although to be honest, I don't feel too good about getting an interview, since tier 3 is so late, but good luck to everyone!

I was tier 3 last year (submitted mid-October) and I didn't receive a deferral letter until the beginning of January. UOP is really busy right now.

I just got an email from Veronica stating that I have been accepted! WOO HOO!! I interviewed on Nov 2 so those that interviewed that day or earlier should hear from them too.

I'm on cloud 9 right now. Now.. just gotta wait on USC. 🙂 Good luck everyone.

they actually sent an email saying that something in the mail will be coming soon. so both i guess. also im sure oct 26 people will be getting their emails very soon too. I wasnt expecting anything for another 1-2 weeks...

U GUYS!!! Lets ALL TAKE A DEEP BREATHE! Now blow it out. LIsten, if we all stress about admission, it is going to drive us all crazy. Some people have already got accepted. CONGRATS! I am happy for you guys. For the rest of us who interviewed and are waiting, lets just forget about it. Put it at the back of our minds because if we don't, we will drive ourselves crazy.

For me, I am ecstatic that I got an interview at UOP. It is my number one chance. If i get accepted their, I will accept my offer of admission right on the spot. HOWEVER, while i am very anxious, i KNow that i did my best in the interview. HOpefully the admissions people got an accurate perception of personality. IF YOU ALL FEEL LIKE YOU TRIED YOUR BEST, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO EXCEPT WAIT!.

SO CHEER UP and STOP STRESSING!!! What will be.... WILL BE!!!
Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones... and be grateful that you were given this opportunity to interview.

my brother was notified of his acceptance to uop 2 years ago via email, so i think they notify everyone via email.

I think being a strong canidate and applying at multiple schools forced UOP to make an offer. So I think people that havent heard yet may have not applied to many schools. Anyways that is my theory...but who knows...

but I like my theory because if you applying for a job as a pharmacist.......to lets say Longs, Rite Aids, and Walmart...and if all of these places know you have various applications out...then one of the stores may be forced to give you a job offer if you are a strong candidate.....so that they dont loose you to one of the competitions...

yazzman, UOP doesn't know how many schools has, or will offer you a seat, so the number of schools you applied to should be irrelevant; whether it be 1 or 20, it shouldn't matter. if you're a strong, qualified applicant, and did well in the interview, then they will admit you. just relax, and stay optimistic guys.

Well Terse you might have taken my posting out of context...it was a theory...kinda like a school trying to get the best athlete to represent them...that is the what i meant by my posting...but it appears I offended you....Per your last comment, I must have not interviewed well and must have not been a strong candidate compare to you..this is obvious since you have received a acceptance letter and I havent...good luck..to you

no no, you didn't offend me at all. i was just stating my opinion on your theory.

as for my comment, it was just a general statement, not directed at anyone. i in no way meant to say you, or anyone else was less strong. everyone that has gotten an interview IS a very strong applicant, and we don't really know what it is that they are looking for. i don't know how the admissions process goes... maybe they send out emails at different times? my point was that everyone here just needed to relax, stay optimistic and wait to see what happens.

I don't think they sent out all the acceptance emails yet because there surely would be more people posting that they got in.

I know how everyone feels. UOP is my first choice, so finding out that other people from the same interview date already got in, makes me queasy. I would expect maybe some people to get email on Wednesday and then no more until next week because of thanksgiving.

I was always under the impression that you don't send thank you cards or emails for Pharmacy school. I think Med school is suppose to be different. I don't think it matters if you do or don't. The student at UOP that interviewed you already submitted their evaluation of you that day and can't change it. The prof is in the same situation because my prof mentioned that he wasn't on the ad com.

i sent a thank you to both the professor and the dean...i dunno if it helped with my acceptance or not, but i thought it was what i was supposed to do
(some advice i got from more than 1 friend).

It might be sucking up a little, but its a way for them to remember you a little more (so make sure you send it within the next week of your interview). if you're careful with your words and sound sincere (refer to something you talked about during your interview...etc.) i think they really appreciate it. I actually got an email back from the dean. So my advice is just do it...it cant hurt right?
