UPenn Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

People who interviewed in January, how long after your interview did you hear back?
I interviewed 10ish days ago and have not heard back. I asked during the interview day and I don't remember exactly how they worded it but they basically implied they're doing the December interview acceptances for the couple of weeks following my session and then they'll get to us January interviewees so I'm thinking late January / early February is when we might start to hear back. Early-mid February to be safe

Thank you so much for sharing this

To the people receiving post December interviews, what are your stats? Thanks 😀

Did anyone turn down their cheaper in-state school for Penn? if so can you pm me? Thanks!!!

Heard back from them today regarding the bluejeans links. My interview is on the 28th of January.

Does anyone this cycle or past cycles have experience with UPENN and their opinions of letters of intent? I had my interview last week and thinking of emailing a letter of intent and say I will accept their offer over my state school.

I’ve talked to current students about it and they told me not to send one unless you are waitlisted!

I'm a bit of a button pusher, so short of a legal mandate to ask I'm not seeing how they can force me lol. Hoping someone has information. I feel like its one of those policies that bright-eyed undergrads don't dare to question.

I would call their office, don't quote me but I think there's an exception for people who are independent. But from my knowledge, putting your parent's financial info is for need based loans so even those who are trad don't necessarily HAVE to do it.

if you are seeking disadvantaged status/ financial need-based scholarship then you need to include your parents financial info at any age. This is a federal thing not a UPENN thing. If you’re just taking out loans for the whole thing then you shouldn’t need any parental info.

Anyone else been checking this thread WAY too often to see if Penn has issued acceptances for Jan interviews?

I work the front desk of a pedo office and yeah I'm on sdn about 99% of my day hitting the refresh button lol

Anyone want to call and ask when they'll be sent out? 👀

Received an email to schedule an interview earlier today. Honestly thought interview offers were done – very grateful to be wrong lol.

Congrats! Do you mind saying what your stats were /when your application was complete?
Thank you!
I got an email saying they recieved my AADSAS on June 24th. cGPA: 3.77 sGPA: 3.7
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 24AA | 24TS | 25 RC | 23 PAT | No

Not trying to be annoying but putting 20-25 DAT or something does literally nothing to help people. This covers live over 90% of ppl who are interviewed. If you are like 22-24 you are giving a range that is helpful and yet there will be many applicants with those numbers so you are still ambiguous. Even if you are at the top end of those stats, I personally know 3+ people admitted with 25s or higher (and betting there are many more I dont know about) so you don't have to worry about giving away your stats.

I was told during my interview that they’re inviting applicants to interview by the date they submitted their application. Is this accurate? That would mean they’ve only accepted people who’ve applied pre-August

I believe it is true that schools invite in chronological order for the most part, but "that would mean they've only accepted people who've applied pre-August" is incorrect. My app wasn't complete until early August and I have heard of folks who applied in at least September who received interviews and/or acceptances.

That makes sense! It would be really interesting if it were actually strictly chronological so I just wanted to confirm haha. Thanks 😊

Hey! Anyone take a gap year and successfully gain admission? I am planning on taking a gap year and have pretty decent stats, but am confused on what exactly looks best for a gap year for penn admission. TY for the help!

I hope soon... can’t wait anymore
It seems like the last round of acceptances were sent out on 01/07, and those accepted have 30 days to place a deposit. I'm thinking that they are waiting to hear back from those applicants before issuing out a new round of acceptances? I'm also hoping that they send them out soon!

That’s interesting.. do they send acceptances in rounds? Like all January interviews all together?

For the December interviewees this cycle, it looks like they sent their acceptances together. I'm not quite sure if it's due to COVID or not!
