I have a Philips BV Pulsera, the current documentation system involves printing actual films that get scanned into an EMR. Suffices for insurance purposes but the quality is terrible e.g. pt with tough anatomy and you want to reference where the MBB's went vs. where you go with RF probe, etc.

There is a USB port but any modern USB thumb drive gives an error message. Only my super old, super crappy USB thimb drive works with it. The problem is that it is so old the memory limit is a joke 64MB? so it stores likes 3-6 cases which means frequent transfer to the EMR.

Has anyone encountered this and have a solution? I'd like to use a more modern thumb drive with GB instead of MB.

My Pulsera came with a 2GB USB drive and I have used 3 other drives with it without issue. I have had dozens of patients take home their pics on their drives without issue. I think you need a software or firmware update to your machine.

I depends on your firmware. You must have an old Pulsera. The modern Pulsera I used worked with any usb stick I put in it, up to a 16GB stick...no problems at all!

i had the same issue. Only the thumb drive they gave me works. i stopped trying. But i recently had it serviced, maybe i will try it again. Mine is a 2008.

you have to reformat your usb drive to specific format (which i forget what it is called) then all thumb drives will work on the philips. My 2 terabit drive worked with my older ziehm w/o problems (or formatting issues) but I needed to format my drive for the philips endura. This is from the service rep directly.

how do you format the drive?

i believe you attach your thumb drive to computer, look into 'properties' for format mode, and change it to the acceptable format. You will loose everything so save first. I will try it soon and get back to you.

FAT is the default format, FAT 32 is used by macs...

it still wasnt really working, but i only had a minute to do it...

okay do this:
1. Format in FAT.
2. Then Add a folder named "Philips_X-ray_images"
3. Then Add the 'carry IT Easy' execute file (found on the usb provided by philips).
4. Store an image (make sure there is a real image/or some data captured).

it worked for my 15 & 2 GB thumb drive just now.
It did NOT work for my terabit drive b/c it cannot be formatted in FAT.

Does anyone have a spare USB drive that came with the pulsera C arm. I have tried everything under the sun but am not able to transfer images.
Am willing to pay a fair price for it if needed
