Yay applicants!!! I'm in the c/o 2020, hope to see you guys 😀

Interview invitations usually go out sometime late November to mid December, so you should be hearing back soonish. I'm not sure about the specific timeline this year but last year people heard back as early as November 24th (I think this was an early interview invite for IS students) and then others didn't hear until December 15th or thereabouts (I think this was mostly the OOS group) and the year before that all invites and rejections were sent out on December 10th.

ETA: I should check things before I post them! Fixed for accuracy.

I hate the waiting game! So nervous! Is this the main thread for UTK c/o 2021 applicants? It's so much less active than others. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. :nailbiting:

We are all just impatiently waiting for news! The nerves sure are kicking in this time of year! Hoping that UTK will be my home this next year, it looks absolutely beautiful out there.

I think someone said we should be hearing back before their winter break- - any idea when that is?

I love it here 🙂 East TN is gorgeous and the school is 😍 but yeah I sympathize with the SO job finding issues. Mr. Dubz still hasn't been able to find anything yet. What does your hubs do?

Awesome! He will have his masters in ecology next semester. He studied coral bleaching for his thesis but that field is competetive and kind of depressing since corals are dying off by the minute. He'd love a job with maybe like park services or fish and wildlife. I'm sure he'd take what he could get but in a perfect world that's what he'd do. What about yours?

That sounds really cool 😀 Mine is a mechanical engineer. So you'd think he'd be able to find a job anywhere, but no such luck so far.

Saw in another thread you said you were from Florida - me too! There are a bunch of Floridians in my class and the class above ours as well.

You guys had the right idea. I've lived here my whole life and go to UF, so I want a change of pace and scenery while in vet school...and to actually see the seasons change. Where are you from in Florida?

Well you'll definitely see that if you come here, it's freezing right now! I'm from Jacksonville 🙂

I know! I just looked at the weather up there--35F! Do you guys get a lot of snow?
Nice! I've been to Jacksonville a few times for concerts, I like the downtown area a lot. Did you do your undergrad at UNF? I'm from South Florida, so even North Florida is pretty different for me.

We haven't gotten any yet! From what I've heard there's not usually a ton of snow here but I guess we'll see.

I actually went to Pitt for undergrad (lots of snow there!) but my fiancé went to UNF 🙂

Loving all the rest of my Floridians here! And @woowolf33 I was actually cheering for FSU during the UF vs. FSU game a few weeks ago. I have the worst school spirit, I know... 😛

Hi everyone! OOS from Georgia and haven't heard anything. I did write a disadvantaged statement and I think last year they seemed to find out later... Good luck to all!

Yes I wrote one! I didn't realize until I was going back through the threads that it might take longer to find out about interviews... I don't think it means anything though that you haven't heard yet because as I was looking back through last year's thread, OOS interviews were offered within a few days of each other and not all on the same day like the year before.
