From my understanding, UW-SVM makes one which everyone can then join! I'm not sure when that would be as I think the UW SVM SAVMA social media officer does that.I am also wondering about this!! anyone know??
Hi I have accepted my offer too! I created a non-official FB group and it is University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine 2025.I am also wondering about this!! anyone know??

I'd search websites like Apartments for Rent in Madison, WI | Rentable (formerly ABODO) or other apartment/housing searching websites.anyone know when we should start looking for housing? Also any suggestion where to look? I'm gonna be coming from out of state and probably won't have a chance to visit Madison before moving there.
I didn't hear anything from them either.Has anyone heard about any movement on the OOS waitlist? I heard that they would be sending out monthly updates but haven't heard anything yet.
Called Jenna from the admission office two weeks ago. She said that they do not plan on sending out monthly update this year, but we can call or email to ask, email preferred. She said that OOS waitlist students should start to hear back early April, depending on the ranks. I only got moved up by 1 when I asked......Hope this is helpful and good luck!Has anyone heard about any movement on the OOS waitlist? Thank you! That is actually very helpful. I may email in a bit just out of curiosity but yes I was kind of expecting minimal movement until after April 15th 🙂Called Jenna from the admission office two weeks ago. OOSwere you on the IS or OOS waitlist?
Hi I'm not sure if you're IS or OOS, but I was on the IS waitlist and I got pulled off a couple weeks ago, so it is moving!Did anyone get pulled off the waitlist at all so far? Or do they normally wait until after April 15th to move on to the waitlist?
Good to know, thanks! And congratulations! I am OOS but I don't really see much movement on my ranking. Getting anxious as time goes by...Hi I'm not sure if you're IS or OOS, but I was on the IS waitlist and I got pulled off a couple weeks ago, so it is moving!
From what I remembered from the info session, you just have to let them know if you decided to withdraw. UW-Madison doesn’t require any deposit to hold your seat. After accepting the offer, are we allowed to withdraw the offer after April 15th?
Financial aspect has unexpectedly become a huge factor in my decision making, and now I am in a difficult position where I might have to withdraw my acceptance due to financial status.
Are there any penalties that might follow this action?
There are no penalties! Lots of people accept offers now withdraw after the deadline 🙂After accepting the offer, are we allowed to withdraw the offer after April 15th?

Does anyone have an answer to this? I have not seen anything on the forum, but I was wondering if there was any confirmation from the school after signing the signature pageDoes anyone know if you get any confirmation after submitting the online survey to accept your seat? I’m paranoid that it didn’t go through

I’m not sure if it is different for people that were on the waitlist. I would just call the admissions office.I received a confirmation email after filling out the survey yesterday.
Thank you for your quick reply! Was this immediately after the survey submitted or later in the day? I just submitted the form, but I am hoping to get confirmation and some more information from the schoolI received a confirmation email after filling out the survey yesterday.

I submit my survey around 4PM PST time, and got my confirmation about noon the next day! You can always call the office of academic affair and asked. I called them (this was before I received the confirmation), and they were real nice to check for me if they received the survey responseThank you for your quick reply! I don’t believe the elective cost any more than normal tuition. Looking at the UW-Madison Bursar’s website (Tuition Rates), once you hit 14 units, the tuition cost the same. Since our core classes are 17 units total, the electives shouldn’t add any cost to your tuitionDoes anyone know how much each elective is?

I'm not completely sure, but I think they have a blue coat ceremony for 3rd years before starting clinicals. I could be wrong thoughAlso does anyone know when or if we get a white coat ceremony? It doesn’t say on the calendar
There's no limit as to how many electives you can take! I know someone who signed up for two in one semester. These are just for your enrichment only and are not required to graduateAnyone know how many electives we can take? Is it not recommended to take more than 1? The letter in the email Jenna just sent out said electives are optional.
One credit each!Does anyone know how much each elective is?

Selectives week is different than electives. Electives are optional courses you can take during the regular semester. These courses are different than selectives week, which is required for everyone. Selectives week were meant to help you gain exposure to different fields that you may be interested in that is not normally offered in the regular curriculum. For example, you can do an outside selective clinical experience where you shadow a vet for a week. Or you could sign up to do shadow rotations for a certain specialty at the teaching hospital. Or it could be taking a one week mini class for the week to learn a new skill or something. So after you are done with your semester and taking finals, the week after the spring semester of first year or the week before of your fall semester starting in your second year, you do a selective. Can someone explain the selective week? Is that the same as the electives?
Anytime! Happy to help 🙂Thanks Lisagk! You have been super helpful 🙂
