Waitlist for 2022

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Waitlisted at Western and Kansas. Not stressing too much because I was accepted to AVC. But if I get called off the waitlist for Kansas, I'll definitely go there. Looooved PEI, but it would be easier for the SO to find a job in Kansas. Not giving up my waitlist spot at Western, just to keep my options open, but I think I will end up giving it up. Fingers crossed! Good luck everybody!
Similar situation. Got accepted to SGU but would love to have more options!

Accepted at Tufts and CSU (both OOS). Waitlisted at Cornell (OOS). I loved CSU, but I loved Cornell even more, so I'm hoping I get called, but if I don't, I'm sure I'll still have a heck of a time at Colorado 🙂

waitlisted at 5 places now but got into auburn. Auburn is a beautiful and great school but i am from the midwest and all my waitlist options are in the midwest. counting on going to auburn for now, but hoping for some movement on waitlists.

Congrats on your acceptance and waitlists!!! I agree, definitely accept that spot and hope you get pulled from a waitlist

Waitlisted at Michigan State (81) and Wisconsin (19, IS). Not very hopeful for either.
Was #38 at Minnesota last year, but didn't even manage an interview this year. Hoping for lots of movement at either place!

I'm feeling like I have some sort of record for waitlists - currently on 7 🙁
OOS alternate for Kansas, Penn, Florida, Tufts, Minnesota, Iowa, and Auburn. Only school I'm still waiting to hear a decision on is Illinois. Hoping my chances of going somewhere are good with this number of waitlists!
Do you mind sharing what OOS alt you are for minne?

I was #17 on the Minnesota waitlist but turned it down. So you're at least one seat closer!
Appreciate the timely updates to my trolling, guys! I was 10 OOS waitlist for UMN when they set notification, so trying to calculate if we’re getting close! You understand, ha.

Does anyone know if the UPenn OOS waitlist has moved at all?

Has anyone written a letter of intent or letter of interest for vet school? I know it's kind of a common practice for med school

To my knowledge, unless a school explicitly states that waitlisted applicants can send in supplemental materials, you shouldn't. The admissions people will just go off of what you initially sent as part of your application to determine whether you will be admitted off of the waitlist. I know that it's a long wait and that it's easy to feel like everything is out of your control right now, but just hang tight and mid-April will come soon enough 🙂

I’m waitlisted at a few schools and in the hopeful case that I get a call in April - how exactly do I proceed? How much time do schools give you to accept/decline? And do they send an email with the offer also?

Does anyone know how fast UW’s waitlist moves (on average)? I’m ranked sixth on their list, but I’m wondering if I will have to make a deposit at another school I’ve been accepted to before being pulled off of UW’s list

Edit: I’m OOS
I'm IS waitlisted for UWM but I'm 12th on the list. I am also chomping at the bit bc it is the only school I applied for (my first cycle) and am so afraid to get a call two weeks before school starts. I have a hubby and baby and have to get daycare last minute which could be stressful. Let me k ow when you hear back so I can be prepared for the call!!!

I am waitlisted #12 IS for uw so let me know when you hear back! 15 were taken from the list last year, so we have a shot! Good luck!
I will keep you updated!! I think we’re both in super good positions☺️ Good luck to you as well!

I called them on Friday 3/9 just to see if the list had moved... it hadn’t yet. The waiting is killing me!

On three waitlists as well, two numberless 🙁 I have no idea where to put all of this anxious energy

Does anyone if Kansas state, Oklahoma state, or Tennessee ever release waitlist numbers or if they are always kept private?

Yes!!!!!! I will find out my number on the 3rd. I was waitlisted last application cycle as well at another university. I have been waiting a long time now....lol. Good luck to you!
Where do they reveal your number to you after the fact? I'm not sure which way is more cruel to be honest.

Iowa State.
Probably easiest for them because there’s a decent amount of movement so your spot could be changing multiple times a day because they don’t require you to accept or deny your waitlist position until March 30th.

This has mostly been answered already! Thanks guys! They reveal the alternate number on a portal status page. It is a page used to communicate information between applicant and admissions. Really hoping my alternate status will be changed to an admitted status!

I checked last year's thread and it seemed like people were getting called off the waitlist around the end of April.

Paying a deposit to hold my spot at LMU - but really really hoping that the #11 OOS waitlist spot at Ohio State works in my favor. Anyone have an insight on this?
