Submitted AMCAS mid-June. Got the secondary about a month ago. I'm in-state, but decided not to complete the secondary.
My AMCAS was verified 7/15. I received my secondary on 8/6 via snail mail. It was out the door on 8/15 (again snail mail). I received an interview invite two weeks ago and will be at Wayne with Wowzer on Monday.
I am also in state.
If you're interested in the school, and polite phone call to check on your status can't hurt.

My AMCAS was complete in the first week of July or so. I hadn't heard anything from them until last week when I received an email that they were waiting for my August MCAT scores before reviewing my application. I didn't take the August MCAT nor did I indicate that I was planning to do so. I figured they'd be waiting a long time....so I emailed to ask them to update my app. I have gotten a few emails from them apologizing and saying that my app will be under review/is under review.

I need some advice for my particular case.
I am an in-state student applying to Wayne State. I was complete there approximately 3 weeks ago. I have a little bit above their average MCAT for admission and well over their GPA. I go to a state school as well. I have been invited to interview at New York Medical College and Georgetown, BUT WAYNE STATE IS HOLDING MY APPLICATION FOR FURTHER REVIEW!?!?!!???!
Does this make sense to anyone? Did this happen to anyone in the past? I can't get over this- I am good enough for some of the top schools in the nation (georgetown) but not at Wayne State!??!
Do they only interview people with the highest numbers first? I would like some advice- thanks.

two words: crap shoot. i wouldn't worry, maybe that is part of their rolling admissions, to place people on hold, maybe they just got a grip of applications and they're backed up (which is why i may have not received a 2ndary yet either). just hang in there and rock that georgetown interview. you'll be straight.
