Hey guys and gals,
The Dave & Busters you're referring to must be the one at "The Block".. which is this huge outdoor mall area with big AMC movie theatre (cheap tickets!), skateboard park, shops, restaurants, a Krispy Kreme, and D&B! That's actually not a bad idea although the crowd at The Block can seem a bit young at times. I'm up for it since there is plenty to do there in general. D&B, for those of you who've never been there, is sort of an entertainment place with a restaurant of American-fare food, arcade games, prizes, mystery shows, casino area, billiards, shuffleboard, virtual reality games, bar, etc.. lots to do there. It's probably 25-30 minutes away from Pomona.. maybe a bit less without traffic. The Block should be better to go during a weekday night if possible.. lots less crowd and wait times.
For those incoming folks who won't have much to do during the first week of June, we could also plan a trip down to southern Orange County for some nice mall shopping, beaches, etc. depending on interest.. maybe a bbq/bonfire? Darn.. now that I think about it, there are more than enough distractions.. including the always popular Las Vegas and the shopping outlets on the way there.
In response to LisaB's post, I'm an American-born Taiwanese.. born in Chicago and raised in Houston, TX.
Yosh- Have you ever passed by a place in Manhattan called BarCode? Thought it looked cool.. like a club/arcade/bar with bouncers outside.. but it was a big disappointment. Next time I'm in NYC, I will just spend all my time in Flushing at the Korean BBQs for the lunch specials... or in this little restaurant I found called "Curry in a Hurry". 🙂
