Has anyone received a rejection letter? Do they send them out at the end of the cycle? I haven't heard anything from them and am v. worried. 🙁

Not hearing anything is a good thing because it means that they haven't sent you a hold or rejection letter, and so are still actively considering you for an interview. Don't lose hope!

the bad thing about western is they notify people very close to the actual interivew day. they should tell us about 1-2 months in advance that would make things easier for us to plan and not wait like this.

Yes, It would be nice if they let us know about a month or at least 3 weeks ahead. So feb 10th is the next interview and what else do you know? Thank you.. I am waiting patiently..

So for those who weren't accepted the first two interviews, they are all placed on hold? There are no "alternates" as of now, is that correct?
And does anyone know what the chances are to get in as an alternate?

I talked to admissions people again LOL. The last batch of apps they reviewed is slowly getting set back to admissions people and when they are all sent back, they start handing out interviews. Sometime this week it's supposed to start, here we go again with waiting XD

I received my acceptance yesterday too 🙂.

I thought the interview went very well! I remained calm, confident, but also honest. The interviewers just want to get to know you as a person, so don't be nervous. Express yourself and in order to do that, be calm. Go in there and just try to have fun!

i didn't hear anything either. the bad thing is i also applied to usc and haven't heard anything either and the last date of intervirew for both these schools is March 20 and thus IF I'm invited at both I would have to pick one. I'm still hoping even one school invites me! uhh...waiting sucks!

Hi steve, I was put on hold after the first interview date. Do you know how admissions decides on how they change hold to alternate? And do you know what the chances are for an alternate to get accepted? (are there many alt's in your class?)

Still waiting here too. Interview was on Jan 30th, they said 2 weeks turn around, it's literally at the end of the 2 weeks, and I see no emails (maybe by the end of today?). I just wanna know what happen, just knowing if I'm on hold/waitlist at this point would make me very happy; acceptance even happier.

If it did, then you wouldn't have applied in the first place...just be mindful what you say. I understand people's frustrations, but if you haven't heard in a while since your interview, it means they're really considering you. Remember: good things come to those who wait.

I sent my application on the very last day, Nov. 2nd. I got a call for an interview on Jan 15th for Jan 30th interview date. Still waiting for a decision. You should be getting a call for an interview this week or even next week. So please don't get frustrated, and do not lose hope 🙂

I interviewed in Jan. and submitted my application early Oct. There were people at the interview that submitted theirs on Nov 2. And then there's also my friend (a pretty strong applicant) who submitted her application on the last day and hasn't received an invite yet either. Hang in there!

Hey. More than half of our class got in from hold/alternative. A lot found out just weeks/days b4 school started. So your chance are good. I do not know exactly know how a hold moves to an alternative. Sorry.` GL!

I received a call from a women named Daniel Mendoza today, unfortunately i couldn't talk b/c it was while i was in class for my cell bio. i called back but it went to her voice mail. could this be for what i have been waiting for? i left a msg and i hope she will call back tomorrow. but do they call for rejections as well as interview ? lol... dang.. now i am anxious to know whats up.

and if this is for interview ..how long do they give you before the interview?

You'll be fine. Exact same situation happened to me, i missed her call cuz of cell bio and i called her back it was voice mail then she called me back again. This time i picked it up, it was an interview
