Then, each tribute begins to drop one by one from the STRESS ULCERS they are causing THEMSELVES for counting down the days till their WesternU vet school decisions!

Did you guys listen at interview? Everyone hears yay/nay/waitlist on the 15th. By e-mail.
So four more days
Just going off of historical data, they told previous classes the same date but they were actually notified earlier.
They made it pretty clear that due to authorization for e-mail this year it would be all or nothing on the 15th, unlike previous years.
I tried to explain this earlier in the thread, but all these people would rather stress out an extra four days
. The irrational rationalizations are quite comical/typical of the insanity brought upon us all during admission cycles I guess. Personally, I'm not caring or looking until Thursday.
I never heard that part. They didn't stress anything about that to us but we didn't have a person from the CVM admissions team talk to us either . The person who did give the admissions talk said he couldn't answer any specific questions, only speculate. Oh well.
Are you considering attending Western? Or is Florida your definitive destination??
I think its probably best to just have the 15th in your mind, and if something comes earlier, then it will be a pleasant (hopefully) suprise. I know for me, if I start thinking it'll come earlier, I'll become an obsessive email checking maniac again.

I know how you feel since you and I both applied to a poopton of places. But I kinda have a ranked list of where I want to be. I know if one of the top options worked out I'd let the others go 🙂
And I'm STILL sad you won't be coming with me to Knoxville to rock your country roots!
OK, it's pretty much "definitely UF" because of tuition, but I still can't help but want Auburn, UTK, and LSU (blame it on those southern roots 😉 ). I loved UTK and the fact that it was a little over 2 hours to Nashville. As someone who's "realistic goal in life" was veterinary school 🙄, compared to my biggest goal, the struggling country music star
, I wanted to be close to Nashville since I have been chasing that dream for a while too. Turning down UTK today was insanely tough. I guess I'm gonna have to start sucking up my Gator future 
. But hey, if I get offered anything at Western, at least y'all will know it's one less person in the way 😀

Blah... This wait is making me crazy. Last year they sent them out earlier then expected so now I'm just on edge all the time.

I hear ya, I think I've said before, if no Western, then all I have is the KSU waitlist as my very uncertain backup plan. I have put in my head the 15th, but I can't help but think...hmm maybe today?? We're almost there! Homestretch, guys!!

Don't let your advisor or anyone discourage you. You know what you are capable of and what your goals are. Continue to work hard & you will get there!
Seriously, you have to try, otherwise you'll definitely not get in. Maybe you're advisor is right, but maybe they're wrong. If its what you want, then ya gotta put yourself out there!
I'm still trying. I'm doing much better in chem, which is part of the requirements. It's a food animal program though and I just don't have much experience to back up my goal of wanting to be a fa vet.
But thank you! There is another professor who has been really helpful and I've been thinking about making him my advisor. He's helped me a lot already.

By this time tomorrow, you could be accepted!
But be realistic! I know at least at my school, the people who get into the food animal scholars program generally grew up on farms, had really well established relationships with vets, and had aced their first semester of college. Don't let anyone tell you any absolutes; "you're definitely going to" or "definitely not going to," but respect the fact that faculty have generally worked with hundreds of students who apply to these programs and vet school and probably have at least somewhat of an idea of the selection.
