I am a pre-med student currently discouraged because a lot of my friends always seem to be 2 steps ahead of me.
I’m posting this to see if I’m on the right track/ ask critique of where my resume lacks. Thanks in advance!!

Degree: Biology, Honors Track
GPA: 3.833
Extra. Curriculares:

(I hold a leadership position in all of these)

Volunteer Work:
50 hours of giving tours to students
100 hours writing notes for disabled students
30 hrs working with kids in elementary schools
100 hours in a clinic helping out doctors/nurses

I am an upcoming junior so I have not taken the MCAT! I know that’s the most telling i just haven’t taken it yet!

Maintain your GPA, increase shadowing hours to ~40-50, maintain current clinical and non-clinical volunteering (don't stop entirely, but you don't need to invest significantly more time), and most importantly, don't compare yourself to others.

Do well on the MCAT and you have a very good chance of matriculating.

Best of luck to you.
