funny how girls notice the whole "whether the bra and underwear" match. So sad I can watching an action movie and during some hookup scene notice that tisk tisk she doesnt match-while the guys watching could really care less. 🙄

Haha that was the first thing I noticed too, I was like wow props to them all for matching so nicely!

Yeah, I can't speak for all guys, but I don't think most of us really care about them matching.

Ok, I have to be serious once again here. It's the future doctor in me talking. If you are really serious about how obese you are, you might be surprised at how much you can accomplish in just 10 months. Sure, you cannot become Mr. Universe in just 10 months, but you can get a very good start if you get a gym membership and talk with a trainer. I was surprised how much I accomplished in my first 10 months. The key is sticking with it. You don't need to spend all day there. Truth is, you won't have the stamina at first, anyway. I only spend 30 minutes 3x/wk.

I really enjoyed the previous posts. But.........seriously, I need help (ok it's not serious, but pretend). I really do wanna take a vacation before med school and Im trying to pick the cheapest way to do one of the following

1) Backpack through Europe
2) Cruise
3) Lay on a beach somewhere for a month doing nothing!!

Im kinda leaning toward #3 just b/c it would give me more relax time. but how would one do that cheaply? Could I just sublet an apt for a month? I would really like to go outta the country, but I dont know how feasible that is. Is there a cheap way to hang in Mexico for a while?? Any suggestions at all?

If you go somewhere like costa rica it's really cheap. My family gets a house that's fully staffed and it's something like $1100 a day....obviously you wouldn't need that if you're going by yourself but I just said that to express how inexpensive it was.

my cousin traveled all around europe for 3 months and spent less than $3K. he stayed at hostels and with random people he met, but i wouldn't recommend that.

i spent 3 weeks traveling all over thailand on less than 1K, not including airfare. and much of that was on scuba diving, rock climbing, riding elephants, gifts, etc. i spent very little on food and hotels. i stayed at places (can't really call them hotels) that cost $2-12 US a night. the $2 place was actually a room big enough for a twin bed, a trashcan and a fan on the wall. the $12 place was actually pretty nice and right on the ocean. anyway, i think you can really go just about anywhere for cheap... it all depends on your standard of living and how many souveniers you buy.

if anyone needs a traveling partner i'll go anywhere. 😀

I graduate undergrad in December and start med schl in the fall. I want to vacation somewhere after graduation. I am just going to sit back, work, and relax until I start school. I was thinking about doing a summer medical program the summer right before I matriculate. The bad part is I have to use all the money I hopefully get for graduation to pay for my deposit to hold my seat Whatever I do I am trying to have fun before the work comes!!

The best thing to do to get ready for medical school is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Go on a vacation and do whatever you enjoy the summer before.

I might have misread it, but don't some med schools like MSUCOM have classes starting in May ( I think it was an anatomy class thats for 8 weeks or something)

... man I spent all summer this year studying for the mcat, I need a summer off to relax, swim in my pool, and workout

Something as easy as buying the netter's anatomy cards and thoroughly learning them could help ease the load here in med school. My school is system based, so we have anatomy all year long. Having one less thing to worry about and ease the load a bit would be so nice right now. If I could go back, this is probably what I would have done last year before starting.

drugs and alcohol...lots of drugs and alcohol...truckloads...everyday...cant wait for my prescription pad!

wait im not in undergrad anymore...damnit...i guess ill be working then...this sucks!

(I really didnt do truckloads of drugs in undergrad...luckily i did have multiple truckloads of alcohol!)

AWESOME !! I've been trying to talk myself out of anything extravagant in order to save some money that I dont really have (arent student loans great?!). But with all these encouraging influences, I may just throw good common sense to the wind, lol

Hostels are the best way to travel europe. I'm surprised he even spent 3k....I spent 2.5 k for 6 months in europe.lol Hostels are all extremley safe, and actually have less stuff stolen than at hotels, especially if you befriend a few people at each hostel. It is great because they give you the option to see the city with someone, but at the same time it doesn't hurt their feelings if you want to do something else. You can also do what I did and just stay a week at one, make some beds and help out and in return get a free bed and beer at the bar downstairs in Antwerp. I honestly can't imagine traveling europe any other way anymore....nice people, great stories, and cheap. The shadiest place I stayed at was probably in amsterdam. Some of the ones in italy can be pretty bad too...the one I stayed at in London though had plasma screen tvs, free washer/dryer, tons of security and cost about 20 bucks a night..which in london is a steal.

I really want to take a cruise someplace, but I know there really isnt that much time and the time there is, is gonna go fast. I think I am gonna buy an anatomy book or some flash cards just to look at, Its been a while since Ive looked at anything sciency....lol.... Im still gonna work, but Ive cut down my hours from 70 a week to about 30, Maybe find a girlfriend in the meantime so that Ill have somebody to breakup with when I leave lol......

let's go to europe or some spanish speaking county in south america where i can learn spanish. i would love to see machu picchu. i am getting excited just thinking about where to go. now i have no motivation to finish my master's. maybe i'll just quit school, sell my car and go.
