Im a non-US FMG (July 2015). I have no US clinical experience except for having otitis media at my Uncle's wedding in Buffalo NY as a kid.
I intend to take my USMLE (at least step 1) this academic year, and thats all I have planned for sure.
I was hoping to get your ideas on what to do with my time, with the end goal being: consolidating a good application for a match in (IM or Surgery) within the next 1-3 years.
To be more specific, I'm particularly looking for input from people who have spent 1-3 years after graduation doing "something" and then went on to secure a residency position.
