This is just a curious question of mine, but why do podiatry schools accept such a broad range of standardized tests? GRE, MCAT, PCAT, DAT, OAT, etc.

MCAT - yes
GRE - no
DAT - yes, but not widespread now
PCAT - no
OAT - no
etc - no

A search will do wonders.

Yep.^ Some of the schools accept MCAT only. Some will accept DAT to save $ of good overall candiates who have a high gpa and good LORs, ECs, etc.

There are exceptions to every rule, though, and unfortunately, the OP is right that a couple pod schools still accept nearly every app they get. That will likely change, and the regulating agencies have already been slowly reducing the number of matriculants allowed at lesser pod schools while slowly increasing the enrollment caps at the schools which perform better on boards, etc.
