I think it is just a combination of what happens every single year with it being holiday season, busy admission/ finals season, “record number of applicants” and no change to the admissions process/pools so schools just continuously get more and more overwhelmed each year :/ I don’t know anything about their administration tho this is just my hunch as almost every school seems to be operating on a 2-4 week delay

Wisconsin publishes old class stats on their website. This is for the class of 2028 averages. Extremely high. Oos accepted students had cumulative undergrad gpa of 3.89, required course 3.92, and last 45 3.95.(But idk about any cutoffs) View attachment 395744View attachment 395745

Omg, $100?? I have a competitive GPA for Wisconsin but I’m frankly BROKE. Gonna have to think about whether or not I want to continue

It’s unfortunate, especially for applicants that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of these schools promote DEI heavily, but unfortunately fail to exhibit the same principles in their admissions process (like exorbitant supplemental fees).

Not saying that this is Wisconsins case, especially as I don’t know if they really did raise the cost of the supplemental this year. However, definitely something you see across many schools.
