I still have to hear from here and tufts. It’s SO stressfulThis is the last school I have left to hear from. I just wanna get my "No" and move onnnn
Did you get into Colorado? This is the last school I have left to hear from. I just wanna get my "No" and move onnnn
I did! I just want to be able to conclude this cycle as it has dragged on wayyyy too long haha. I would just withdraw from Wisconsin, but I already paid the fees so might as well stick it until the endDid you get into Colorado?
If this email doesn’t mean acceptance than that’s very misleading but why are they sending this before a decision email 😭
Do you remember how soon after the email they sent out acceptances?A couple years ago those who got the email tended to be accepted. I can’t say for the opposite though (didn’t receive one IS oh well)
so does that mean that the email doesn't mean anything or it was meant to be sent out to accepted students after decisions were released?Someone posted this on fb:
Yes! I called the oaa office this morning and they said the email was a mistake and shouldn’t have been sent out and they’re not sure why or how it got sent but they’re looking into it. Just not sure if it was sent to everyone or what.
I am not sure how to take it. They make this way harder than it needs to be.so does that mean that the email doesn't mean anything or it was meant to be sent out to accepted students after decisions were released?
Unfortunately, I think it was probably accidentally sent, but sent/triggered by IT as they were setting stuff up. I could be totally wrong, but that’s just my gut feeling.so does that mean that the email doesn't mean anything or it was meant to be sent out to accepted students after decisions were released?
When did this happen last time?I do know last time this happened, that day we got responses… so maybe today?
2022’s cycleWhen did this happen last time?
Say it again for the people in the back!! 👏🏻👏🏻As a Dad to a Vet school applicant and having shared this process with him, I can say without hesitation that these Vet schools make this process WAY harder than it needs to be for the application process. Vague details. Random confusing emails. Change of process with little to no communication. Seems to me that they are still being ran like the internet and instant communication still do not exist. They all can and should do better! Best of luck to everyone and you have my total respect for going thru this process!
I’m just so sad. This was my top school. But sadly I was kinda expecting it when I saw how few spots there are for the class.Based off of how many other schools have done this (ie things show up on portals for some students but not others, send random emails that make no sense to some student but not to others), that seems to be the case. They were most likely setting up and activating the accounts of everyone who was accepted and someone forgot to uncheck the "Send Confirmation Email" box.
Obviously, it's not over until it's over. Until you get that email confirming your status, it's not over.
And I truly feel for you. This cycle has been so chaotic. Blame it on the uptick in applicants or the general disorganization of things, but it doesn't undermine the fact that this cycle has been the most chaotic and confusing cycle I have had to experience or witness.I’m just so sad. It's okay to be sad, and it's okay to be hopeful. You are valid to feel both.I’ve been saying “it’s not over until it’s over” and I want to believe it but I’m HIGHkey sad right now that this could possibly mean rejection
I had the same issue with NC state. The day before decisions came out, I got a weird email like I was accepted. Same thing happened with me with CSU. The morning we received our decisions, a new section popped up on my portal to upload my transcripts.I had the same issue with NC state. My only realistic hope for this school was to be waitlisted, anyway, so I hope that’s still possibleI hope it’s not like that this time, but looking back at 2022 cycle, people who received the email were accepted. Everyone else was waitlisted or rejected.
