I just received a letter from them (the first correspondance I have ever received from the school) stating I was still "on hold" and that if I wished to be considered for an upcoming interview I should contact Mrs. XYZ in Admissions.
Tough luck, I'm going to NOVA. Here's at least one spot for you!

This may make you feel a little better. A couple years ago I was on WVSOM's waitlist and had already reapplied and registered to take the MCAT over again. Well, I got a call from WVSOM the day before I took the MCAT that was an acceptance from their waitlist, and they had already started their orientation. I didn't end up taking the spot, but I thought that hearing that might give you some hope - you can get in even when orientation has already started! Good luck!
