flight delayed by three hours in st. louis so I'm going to watch 9 episodes of parks and rec. when life gives you lemons...
Also @researchismymiddlename is so nice and articulate and wonderful!! If Iowa is full of people like her, this would be a great place to attend med school!
So many outlets to post this on...and you choose SDN at a live concert at Barclays????View attachment 186092
Live from the Judas Priest show!
Thanks @Cyberdyne 101 and @sunflower18 And congrats to @No Limits on Feinberg too!!
Cyberdyne I'm gonna take you up on that tour offer
Just discovered Key and Peele and it is soooo hilarious...totally dying.
Well you guys are awesome! So many outlets to post this on...and you choose SDN at a live concert at Barclays????
We are honored
There are 4 of them (Maybe more now). They get progressively more messed up.Omg..what has happened to this thread..
@spockprime the llama video is super messed up but I couldn't stop laughing
Pretty sure we had the same MS-4 interviewer haha.Is this Emory? I didn't interview there, but I had a group interview at Northwestern.
Mine was super low-key and fun. It was 2 interviewees and 1 MS4 interviewer. I don't know if it was unique to my particular interviewer, or structured into the interview itself, but we were asked random non-medical questions (ex: if you ran away to join the circus, what would you do there?). We would alternate between my fellow interviewee and myself responding first. In the end, it became sort of a three-way conversation.

Ugh, my flight yesterday got delayed a few hours, so didn't get back home until almost 4 am last night, and I had to be at work at 8:30 this morning. A venti mocha is helping me through the day but I'm about to spend half the weekend asleep lol.
I think I found the thread where the superstars hang out. Next Wednesday is going to be fantastic for all of you!
Pretty sure we had the same MS-4 interviewer haha.
I got the "which act would you be at the circus" thing too... and also "what part of a bicycle would you be" lol!
Guys this will def be my reaction(s) to if I get in :
And this one:
OMG yes!! I loveeee Bryan Cranston!!!!!!!!Yessssssss.... you'll have to report back once your get your first acceptance!
And this one:
I think I'd be in shock initially. My first few IIs were met with me double-checking to see if they we legit and then lots of silent tears.
Excited for the 15th? The UMich thread always explodes the night of the 14th... they seem really prompt with their decisions. Good luck! I'm sure you're going to be getting an inbox brimming with good news!
Nope. Many of us will partake in an unhealthy neurotic ritual of checking emails and phones throughout the 15th hahaThis might be a dumb question...but when you guys say October 15th, you mean the night of the 15th (waiting for midnight), right? I thought acceptances could only be released starting on October 16th.
Good luck to everyone waiting on decisions this week! We've all come a long way since we submitted our AMCAS application way back when
Yeah....the fact that neurosurg requires you to learn all that crap turns me off from considering it as a career choice. Neuroscience and cranial anatomy weren't my favorite topics in upper level bio.@demystifie, @noolsy, @hellanutella
I could not attach this insanely long document to a pm.
And if anyone else is remotely curious about a neurosurgery curriculum, feel free to check out this attachment
Totally understandable. It's obviously not for everyone. But some ppl absolutely love it. And we do need that select few to pursue this field.Yeah....the fact that neurosurg requires you to learn all that crap turns me off from considering it as a career choice. EDIT: I didn't particularly enjoy learning about innervation and action potentials either.
...those have got to be standardised questions because I got both and I think we had different completely different interviewers. Ooops. Spoiler alert @No Limits!
Not a fan of the bicycle one. I went with "the basket on front that you put your groceries and/or small dog in."
I'm totally stealing your answer if I get asked this question out of the blue lol. What an odd question!! Let me think out loud here:
The handles (steering) - The Leader/Visionary
Wheels (go places, make the team functional) - The "Basis"
Seat (unglamorous yet critical) - The "Glue"
Pedals (unglamorous but active and very important) - The "Manpower"
Brakes (cautious) - The Skeptic
Basket (an accessory, but very helpful, unique, and brings new perspectives to the table) - The Specialist
I hope I didn't miss any aspects Yes, I totally overanalyzed this topic
@sunflower18, I am so happy you loved it here and got to visit!!!

At Albany @sunflower18 told me she was probably done receiving interviews. I told her she was wrong. Now we both get to revel in my being correct. Inverviews at Case AND CCLCM? What????? Congrats!
