2009 western university..anyone yet?

Those accepted in the other interview sessions were contacted through e-mail and phone one day prior to receiving their snail mail.

DarlingNikki,
The other group who got acceptance got an email on Wed and also received a phone call from professors. We then got our acceptance letter the next day or on Friday. Those who got on hold got letters on Friday. I think the last interviews are getting news kind of late because there was an interview conducted on Mar. 17 for those who couldn't make it on the 14th. Good luck to all.

Oh, I don't know that there was another interview on Mar 17.
 
i dont think they added one where they had 100 ppl. It was just for those who were notified on short notice and needed time i think.

Me neither! I would have gone to that one if they gave me the option! I had TWO finals on 3/16 ten minutes apart from one another and went on 3/14! It would have been nice to interview on 3/17....my mind would not have been so pre-occupied!
 
Any news today SoCal people? None here yet. I'm more watching you guys since I most likely won't hear until a day or two after you guys. 😛

wow i got an acceptance email. I was alll set on going to Midwestern CPG. This will be a hard decision for me to ponder for the next couple of days.
 
no e-mail... i guess that means bad news because for the past 3 interviews everyone who was accepted found out at the same time.
 
Just in case you guys want to know, I was put on hold from the January interview and got pulled off today...I'm still deciding between Western or Midwestern.....no pun intended
 
Anyone from the february interview that was on hold get accepted yet?

so you were put on hold from jan, and then today you got an acceptance email from western?
 
I called the school and they indicated that letters should be received by mail on Monday notifying us all of status. Additionally, not everyone who is accepted has received an email. I hope this is the case.

Although I am know the hope of getting in is dimming out super fast for me.

For all those that got acceptances, do you mind posting the exact time you received your acceptance email? Are all of you accepting?

What time did they send that to you? I am asking to see if they are done emailing everyone for the day. It seems everyone got an email around 1 pm today.

I hope that's true, but I guess I just don't understand why some would get emails and some wouldn't. I would assume it'd be consistent.

Did anyone that got accepted from previous groups just get a letter or phone call and not an email or before their email?

i got my email around noon

tough choice, I'm from SoCal and I would like to do my rotations in California. Midwestern is a 3 year school which mean I would save a lot of money. Also, Midwestern would be a good excuse for me to get away from my parents. But again, I would miss my mom's cooking. Ahhhh....can't make up my mind.

I'm kinda that weary about that statement. Maybe they're just trying not to dissapoint us with either rejections/waitlist, but I really hope that's not the case.

Yeah, I guess I can understand that, though to be honest, I rather just hear about it upfront instead of spending the entire weekend worrying about (which I'm now going to do). 😛
 
I interviewed in February and I was pulled off the waitlist today at 12:51 pm. It seems pretty strange to me that so many people got acceptances today, and during the February interview only one SDN person was accepted. I'm so happy I get to stay in California though!!

Yes, I agree. The letter on Monday would probably one that is an "alternate, hold, or rejection" one, I don't think it would be an acceptance letter. I think it is their job to say that.

The only thing is to hope that not everyone who is offered a seat accepts it so it opens up spots for us. Sorry for sounding selfish, but I only applied to this school.

Yeah, I've already assumed that whatever we hear on Monday is going to be either wait list or rejection. Good luck to you. :luck: I already have an acceptance, so that helps with being sad about it, though I still really wanted to go to Western.

I'd go with Western. You can make up the financial difference between Western and Midwestern when you become a pharmacist. Plus, there's much more things to do in SoCal and the weather isn't as hot! 😀
 
Tell me about it! It's so depressing to hear others have been accepted when I'm still awaiting a response of the hold status from the December interviews. Most likely, I have been rejected this year. So sad.

Time awaits til those that don't get accepted received their rejection letters.

USC still has one more batch of acceptances and I'm guessing some ppl will give up their Western spot if they get in. Don't lose hope Western will probably accept a lot of ppl off their waitlist in April!

one of the biggest mistake a first time applicant can make is applying to only 1 school unless he/she can wait 1-3 more years. Pharmacy school is becoming more competitive each and every year. If you don't make it this year, next year apply early and to more schools out of state.

You have to remember though that some people don't have the luxury of applying to multiple schools. Some people only have one option due to finances or families, etc. 🙂

Hey Treetop, congrats! Did your acceptance email have your name written in it?
 
From experience, WesternU sends acceptance emails before snail mail acceptances. So, if you got offered a seat, you should get the email first...unless your email address is wrong. >_<

I had trouble opening the acceptance letter...but I managed to open it without the header image attached....can you open it at all?
