Did they email you or did you call them? I couldn't find anywhere on the portal site that says what my status is, but I did receive an App Complete email a while back.

I'm in your same boat. Just a "Thanks fo' yo' money" email.

I'm guessing Mega called though, because I'm sure he wanted to update them with his new score...

On point bro, called them up 👍. Wanted to make sure my app wasn't being reviewed before the new score got to them..

Cool, well I don't have any updates to give them but I'm gonna call anyways 😀

EDIT: Hmm I called the CCOM Admission office and got a recording saying that they don't do status checks on the phone but that I can email them. So I'm confused, lol. I guess I'll just send an email.

Anyone that's got PCOM-GA's secondary can you post up the address to send things to? I've gotta send out Dean's letters to them (ugh) and need GA's address. Luckily I got PCOM-Pa's secondary this morning.

Oh and SEDaniel, I called immediately after receiving the secondary. It is 100% necessary to have either an academic advisor or a dean's letter (******ed) but they know that the dean's letter will not be personal. They are essentially looking for a letter that shows you had no disciplinary action while you were in school or something to that regard.

please update when you get a reply.

Yep, I sent em a while ago actually when I was sending my regular letters. Called them today to see if they could tell me whether they got em but they said only after they get the secondary and make a file for me 🙄

Yeah I talked to them and they said that if my university has a letter service (which it does and I always use) that if they compile my letters and send them as a letter packet, that will count for that requirement. Which makes no sense to me because they don't include a committee letter or anything with the packet... but whatever, I'm happy lol

please update when you get a reply.

Pointless reply:

You will be informed through email once a decision is made regarding your application.

I just asked whether or not my application was under review or waiting to be reviewed.

Did you have your deans letters go through interfolio?

Yeah, I only hope I can make that kind of update one of these days...

Per the instructions on the secondary for PCOM-GA:

Please send completed application and non-refundable fee of $50 to the Office of Admissions at the Philadelphia Campus. Check should be
made payable to PCOM and mailed to the Office of Admissions, 4170 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
The following credentials must be forwarded to the Office of Admissions no later than March 1, 2011.
(1) A letter of recommendation from the premedical committee or premedical advisor of the undergraduate college that granted or will grant
a Bachelor’s degree, regardless of your academic major, course of study or date of graduation. If that is not possible, a letter from your
academic advisor or Dean of the same institution may substitute. Letters may be sent via standard mail, interfolio or Virtual Evals.
(2) Another letter of recommendation, preferably from an osteopathic physician is suggested, but not required.
If you are applying to both the Philadelphia and Georgia campuses, please send separate materials in support of each application.

Oops, hope Dan sees this before he sends stuff out 🙁

Now you've done it... if I were a gambling man I would say he is going to maim you then hurl a car onto your poor battered body... But that's just a guess... I mean really... What would Arnold do? :meanie:

Oops, hope Dan sees this before he sends stuff out 🙁

😡 Already mailed the letter to UCLA. I hate you now 😉

JK I'll call them tomorrow or e-mail them and get it fixed lol No biggie
Edit: Just called and let them know the mixup. They are going to be fixing it tomorrow when they get it. All is well in the world of applications. On another note, I mailed PCOM's secondary just now also. Another App down and now more waiting.

I saw that, but I still sent it to the Georgia campus... It just didn't make any sense to me... I'm sure it will get where its going. Hehe.

Really sorry bro, that's where I've been sending out application materials so I didn't think twice before posting it. I guess they want secondary materials to their philly office tho for some reason. Sorry for the hassle 👎

Yeah, looks like they're processing secondaries for both schools in philly, but im not sure..

They had everything sent to philly last year too. Shoulda just used last year's letter to the dean

o maaan I started WesternU/COMP secondary for the Lebanon campus and thought I could just use the same answers for Pomona and submit it quickly. but now I have to think up what is appealing about the northwest

Yeah, I've got to do the same thing...

I was making headway on secondaries then I just got another group... I'm glad to have them, but so much work!

Oh, I just got PCOM!

Thats what generally happens. Now I can pretty much churn them out in a couple hrs though depending on the questions. USC is giving me some difficulty right now though. I wrote 1 of the 6 essays but I'm hung up on the others 🙁

Yeah, I hear they have some doosies. Good luck on that one. 😉

I'm going to really have to take a stab at Western's today, because I have had it for a bit and need to get that bad boy in. Just finished another one, but damn...

I'm at 31 schools and am thinking about adding another 1 or 2... I just don't want to do this again... I don't even think I could afford to do this again.

Just called people at Western regarding the secondary app for the oregon campus..
they told me that the 2nd invite should be coming out next week, for those of you who applied and been waiting forever...

I completed my primary on July 9th and all my schools said "Submitted to AACOMAS" on July 15th. I haven't received any emails from AACOMAS or any from any schools requesting a secondary. Should I be concerned or is it just going to take a while to start getting emails?

Thanks in advance! I really love how helpful everyone is on here.

You need to be verified first. Wait until you are verified, then you will start getting e-mails

Yeah, I think that's a tough one. I'm going to have research that a bit before I submit. It's close to Cali and WA... haha. That's all I've got.

yea, my essay for that question sucked, it's probably the worst secondary essay i've written, I just had no answer.

For those of you applying to PCOM and GA-PCOM, and are using Interfolio to send your letters.... Do we just need to send one set to Philly or send one set to each since they list both?

i sent two copies two PCOM. they need two copies if you're applying to both.

So in Interfolio, send the letters twice to PCOM? Seems like they could just download them once for both schools :grumpy: I need my $6

For those of you using interfolio...2 questions

1) How much does it cost to open up account?

2) How much does it cost each time you want to send letters to schools?

Yeah, I definitely think they should have asked other questions, because I seriously doubt they have that many people from Lebanon, OR applying...

I'm guessing our poor essays will be in good company. I know mine will be pretty lackluster, because there isn't much to say... I love the rain... Want to work with SAD people... haha. I dunno...

$19 per year to open an account, and $6 per school

Yeah, and SOOOOO worth it. I love having a place to house all my letters and send them from.

The $6 is a bit steep, but once again, still worth it.

Don't complain you interfolio people 👎

Don't complain you interfolio people...$85 just to have an account at UCLA + $12 per school if you want it sent within 12 business days 👎

And this is why I don't use UCLA's service and use interfolio instead

yep seriously, my school is $50 to start and $14 per school!!!!!!!!!!

i'm going broke just sending out my letters🙁

Wait, I wasn't sure so I just checked. If you want it sent faster than the regular that takes freakin 12 business days its not $12, its $28 per school!

WOW. My schools' services are FREE. I should DEF increase the thank you giftage after reading how much they could be charging me. 😍

lol, yea, for me it's $25, man they are robbing us blind...

ah well, not much I can do about it...

Mine too! I keep realizing how lucky I am with my committee! I have decided to take my advisor some gourmet cupcakes... They are $3 each! But I am going to get her half a dozen... And a card. It was either that or 12 chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries might just melt in this Texas weather though!

At first I was skeptical of interfolio because of the cost, but now I'm so glad I used it. If you submit your request before 2PM EST, they get sent the same day. So far Interfolio has cost me around $60, but that is worth it to me other than having to say, "Oh yeah, and I need you to print, sign, and mail that to 12 different schools".

With Interfolio the writers only need to mail it one time and its out of their hair.

I agree, but from what some of my letter writers have said the digital signature is somewhat of a pain in the arse.

But I love interfolio. Those that aren't using it should have your schools submit your letters to interfolio, then submit them from there. It will save you about $15 per submission.

They caught on to that already and send to colleges only :-/

That is true about the digital signature, but I didn't deal with that. I had all of my writers just mail it to Interfolio with the pdf printed out to be scanned.

That UCLA system sounds terrible and adds some extra stress to your experience.

Yeah, I've had to have a number of my letter writers redo their letters because of this... Definitely would have been a good thing to know ahead of time.

I still havn't sent this one out yet because I still don't really know what to put. I agree, though, that this is definitely gonna be my worst secondary essay answer.

question about PCOM's secondary:
1) everyone agree that the brief statement is pretty much one page single space?

2) for the question "what healthcare experience do you have," should we just list it or give a brief description of each of our health care experiences?
