But i've also heard mayo is not shy about giving out early rejections, so maybe the rest of us don't have to worry just yet. It ain't over til its over.
I fear that it is. I was in the first batch of LOR invites, and am not for the interviews. C'est la vie, non?

Interview invite! Verified 6/1, LOR request 7/1. And now I can't sleep.
congrats nadaba! i notice you have an mdapps, but no info on there. mind sharing your stats?
alas, nothing here...LOR Request 7/6.
not totally giving up hope yet, but doesn't look super promising. This admissions process has taught me to be patient....it was either that or hypertension, so I chose the former.
i think it's once/week from looking at last year.
nothing here either but i was LOR request a bit later (7/22) so i'm gonna hang on for another week or two.
Nothing here. Really bummed, but that's the way it goes. I'm not expecting anything now other than a rejection.
Congratulations to everyone who has an invite. Best of luck. 🙂
Anyone from the 7/9 LOR group get an interview?
I didn't get one...not sure what "batch" we are. Hopefully we are lost causes!
So am I right in thinking that all the interview invites from last night were people who got LOR requests on 7/1? Or is that just wishful thinking?
I got my LOR request 7/9, so hopefully I'm not a lost cause... Do they send more interview invites each week/two weeks or something like that?
Interview Invite!! 😀
Fee received email 6/22, LOR request 7/6

I got my LOR on 7/1 but forgot to add the letters of Mayo until 2 weeks later so it could be a matter of time before we hear something
Edit: Mayo does do things in batches . . . so, perhaps one proton in me is holding out hope that maybe my number will come up during the next week.
I was going with the positively charged particle for the one shred of optimism in me that remains.Personally, I'd stick my hope in the electron... because negative charges move from low to high potential! OH SNAP 😆

Doing this application thing twice, though, you don't get excited/surprised about much anymore, good or bad, because you've been beaten down so many times by this process for so many different reasons.
I got the LOR request on 7/1 and still haven't heard anything, does that mean I missed the first "wave of invites" or are people hearing sporadically throughout the days?Isn't that fun how positivity can be seen in two different ways? Glass half-full thinking, my friend 😀
You can do it! We're all in this together. Even though I'm a first time applicant, I'd like to think we're all valuable and qualified applicants. Just the waiting game sucks.![]()
You know, I haven't received an interview but I will say if I'm out, atleast I know my primary app was strong enough (corroborated by Vanderbilt). Now I'm freaking out about my letters, because I thought they were all excellent. 😕

Anyone at all have any travel hints for this interview? I didn't see any information in the email invite...will they send it later after I schedule? Thanks for any help! 😳
I'm going with the second option, which is quite a bit cheaper for me.It seems like the main options are either flying directly into the Rochester airport or flying into Minneapolis and taking the Mayo Clinic shuttle (http://www.gorochesterdirect.com). For me, at least, the first option is cheaper. But I think for most people the second option costs less. Make sure if you do decide to take the shuttle that you have enough time to catch your flight, and that your flight into Minneapolis doesn´t get in after 10pm (last shuttle to Mayo is at 10:30 pm).
