Yup I had the same issue. I think it was because my photo had a .jpeg extension, so i just renamed the file and changed it to .jpg and that seemed to work!

This is a question about Vanderbilt's interview process, but also about interviews in general. Is the interview at Vanderbilt open file? I can't recall ever finding any information about whether or not it is open or closed file. Also in general where do we find out that information? Is it usually in the invitation to interview?

I wanna say I read somewhere that there's a long interview that's open file, and a short one that's purely behavioral and closed file. I think I read it on the vandy website for interview FAQs?? Not sure. Either that on the link on the portal for the interview

I feel the same way, but secondaries have gone out as late as September in previous years.

I waived the FERPA rights. I was reluctant to, because I was confused about why they asked, but then I called the admissions office and the guy on the phone made it seem like they really want you to waive the right. He said it was for the interviewer -- so a positive interview could carry more weight if you waived the right (just like how we waived FERPA rights for LORs).

Yeah I recently counted them all (I think I got 5 or so), and then deleted them because they still haven't even sent me the secondary... Such a jerk move to taunt people like that 🙁

Couldn't agree more! Its laughable that they are still sending out those emails.
