That’s one of my sites too, so I’m trying really really hard not to refresh my email every 10 seconds and instead focus on those much more positive and helpful coping thoughts....not really working though 🤔

You have no idea how delightful it is to imagine that the very masculine guy from my program who told me that he hasn't been on this forum since grad school applications is back and goes by the username Dramaqueen616.

Also, thank glob someone finally cursed so I know I don't have to keep using words like "crummy" to avoid being kicked off the forum.
 
Anyone else really appreciate that although the energy in this thread is still anxious, it feels different from grad school applications?
Like I'm enjoying the witty banter between fellow grad students. Feels like home 🙂

Also - the MUSC invites going out made me have a low level panic attack and thoughts of failure that I didn't get one. So there's thought.
*Puts it on a leaf and sends it down the stream or something*

Lets be honest, we all swear enough in clinic when we are out of earshot of the patients.... sometimes in earshot, depends on the patient....

Are you referring to the MUSC email that was just sent?
Because someone posted in here that they received an invite from them that looked like a mass email. Does that mean there are more invites to be sent?

Same! Not to mention the invite from MUSC that was sent out today about their ABCT party. It's like, how many heart attacks are they trying to give me within 24hrs??

Also, more power to you if you can let your thought leaves float down the stream. I tend to put my thought on a leaf and then put that leaf in a pile of catastrophe and doom that I hover over protectively.

I don't remember if someone answered your question but transcripts do not need to be official and you only need to upload master/doctoral transcripts...according to Sharon at USAJobs. They are very accessible via phone btw.

*Note for USAJobs (courtesy of vegpsych) 11/13/2017: "OKAY- for all of us applying through the USA jobs application. I just spoke to someone on the phone and he said upload a copy of your AAPI, and they are aware that the categories of where we can attach files doesn't exactly match up well and they will check every document we upload regardless of what category we put it under. So that was a relief - basically just make sure you have your transcript, enrollment verification certificate, and a copy of the AAPI uploaded somewhere."

Went to Kroger earlier to pick up something for lunch, and was hurrying through the store when some stupid guy did what stupid guys do and said, "hey girl, why you walking so fast, is your boyfriend waiting?" And instead of ignoring this nonsense like I usually do, I stopped dead, turned around and gave this guy what I can only guess was a withering glare because this dude legit looked like I had smacked him, and took a step back and apologized.

My constant and overwhelming state of angst, anxiety, and hanger has given me mother effin SUPERPOWERS, y'all. 😎

I have the day off today and am I being productive? I have so much to do for dissertation. Yet i'm here on the sofa, braless, in my pjs, and watching stupid tv (dancing with the stars). Please validate my questionable choices... or publicly shame me, your choice 😎😎😎

After I finished data collection this morning, I came home to "work from home." I almost fell over as I hobbled through the house and tried to simultaneously remove my bra and tights. You're good.
