I know that AMCAS doesn't submit your primary to schools until June 30th, and I still haven't submitted mine. I'm grinding to get it done, but my PS still needs lots of editing, so I'm hoping to submit by June 13th. Probably won't be verified till July 20th or so based on previous trends, is that a fair estimate? I'm not taking my MCAT till July 24th, so the fact that I won't be verified until that point won't really hurt me in any way, will it? Any suggestions/thoughts (positive ones) would be appreciated.

Nope you should be fine since your mcat score won't be in until August 24th anyways. Just take your time and make your application great but also don't lose focus from studying for the mcat!

I'm expecting my GPA to be lower as well due to A+ and B+ in undergrad which were likely weighted heavier than AMCAS, which weighs A and A+ as the same.

if you submit on June 13th you're looking at a ~june 30th verification date. It won't really hurt you. The earliest they get sent to schools is June 29th.
 
It looks like only people who submitted May 31st have gotten verified so far according to the tracker.
 
I submitted at about 2 PM ET on 5/31and I've been under review since yesterday 🙁

You guys need to start using military time. It’s what we use in hospitals, and it’s less confusing. For a minute I definitely thought you meant 0120.

Haha, I actually use that on my phone and always have. I use it every single day at work since my job requires that we use military time for everything.

I only use non-military so others can understand me.

I feel like most people know what military time is by now, especially premeds who have done at least some things in a medical setting. And they are going to have to learn at some point—might as well be now!

This board is very helpful but also incredibly stressful! I was looking at this the last couple of days and was freaking out thinking I would never get verified. If you are not verified yet I imagine you feel the same way, but I hope you find solace that you're not alone and that the verification will come.
 
Has anyone been verified yet that did not submit their app on the first day?
 
Anyone submit on the 31st and NOT be verified or under review yet? I submitted at 11:00 am but my app is still ready for review...

Yeah, I submitted mine at 12:33 PM (EST), and I'm still marked as Ready for Review. Hopefully we'll be verified soon!
 
I submitted between the time of Mlfutballfan and 2018premed... still ready for review. Giving it until the end of next week before I get worried though!

You mean 5/31?

Nah, nobody from 6/1 submission has been verified yet at least according to my spreadsheet. If there were too many mistakes in your coursework, amcas will let you know. If there weren’t, you’ll be verified soon enough. Peak verification wait time can be 20 business days..
 
I submitted June 4 and I thought that would be early enough to be verified by June 29, but now I'm getting worried since a lot of people who submitted the first day aren't verified yet! Should I worry yet?
 
I'm submitting today, hoping I can get verified before 6/29 😵

This is such a huge relief to get this submitted. I will update when its under review and verified. Thanks for everyones help!
 
If you think about it, it makes sense that the first day many people submitted which is why people are still being verified. Like the application service was closed to submission until May 31 and many prepared to submit the first day so I don’t think anyone should be worried because once it gets to the second day of verification, the amount of people who submitted will likely be a lot less and it’ll probably take a shorter amount of time to be verified. I submitted June 4 and I’m not worried lol you guys are overachievers if you submitted this early, don’t stress!

Yup, i suspect there’s a pretty big spike at day 1 and after that processing apps becomes more regular until October when far fewer people submit. If you look at the official graphs for time to verification from AAMC, you see the steepest rise at the beginning of June and then basically a slow rise until the end of July and a slow decline.

Basically, it would be an error to assume that verification times increase indefinitely.

If you’re submitting any day in june, July even, you are on time.

Last year I submitted June 16-17 and was verified July 11. You’ll be fine in that regard. Mcat score will release kind of late but nothing you can do about that.
 
Submitted 6/4. Application on hold until transcripts received on 6/11. Verified 6/12 9:37AM (ET).
(I'm an early decision applicant.)
 
Finally got my application processed (2 transcripts).
Submitted: May 31st, 12:33 PM
Processed: June 12th, 12:30 PM
