So any news on PBP are they still picking people to interview? Basically do we still have a chance at this point to be notified for an interview?

They don't give an exact answer but usually the invites of interviews has been sent out and interviews are like next week so I doubt they will send out anymore interviews.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you guys know that it's okay if you didn't make it to this PBP and this doesn't stop you from becoming a dentist! If dentistry is what you really wanted to do in the future, work hard for it and everything will come to you. If it's your stats thats stopping you from getting acceptance, take more classes, enroll in a masters (which is what im doing), and retake your DAT if it's below a 20. Rewrite your statement, making it uniquely yours. Get involved in more community hours, such as a homeless clinic. Don't hold onto this program because not everyone will be selected for it. Personally don't like this program in terms of the process of how they pick their people. The program should be on a rolling basis like a first come first serve type of thing. Anyways my point is I hope all of you will make it to become the dentist you wanted to be and good luck to everyone else in the future.

I can't say I agree with the rolling basis for choosing fellows. Since they are grant-based (yes, you get paid some good dough every month) they get to be picky in who they consider disadvantaged, and who will succeed throughout the program. The group is so diverse, you really don't cannot pin one particular thing they chose from each of the 16 fellows. I fell like the same thing happens with dental schools. I like a little variety haha, and you're absolutely right. This program is not the end of the world, that dental degree is (or perhaps specializing lol). My suggestion, keep grinding. We do currently have a fellow who got rejected three times from all Texas schools AND PBP. Now they're here.

i don’t think there’s a drug test. Maybe once you enroll for first year
