A personal failure could be anything that you felt like you failed in, but preferably it should be a non-academic failure if possible. If you go to the premed Reddit, talking about a low MCAT/grade puts a glaring light on that piece of objective data, and depending on what the MCAT score was could actually come off as a bit petty.

Some things to help hopefully prompt your thinking include: Have you tried any new skill sets and failed at it, have you ever felt like you could've done more to prevent the outcome of something in life (maybe loss of a friend or a job), What do you consider to be your greatest weakness and what is an example of that weakness coming out? It may take time, but hopefully you'll find something a bit more personal 🙂

The way I interpreted it is to talk about a time where you had to think on your feet rather than plan for it (or when something unexpected happened). Think about times where you had something unexpected come up (like a family death) or when you ended up having to juggle multiple things at once.

Yeah, iirc, they had that minimum 501 MCAT score last year stated on their webpage. i couldn't find anything else on the site regarding a minimum gpa and mcat score this year

i think their cutoff last year was 501 and 3.25. i'm assuming they're staying consistent for this cycle as well.

I think you have a good chance! I have a 501, 500, 3.54 cGPA, 3.41 sGPA and I received one a few days after they notified me that they were looking at my primary

Hey guys! I'm a current first year at the Joplin campus here to share my app cycle experience and answer any questions if needed! I applied to KCU under the "either" campus option, though I went into the process thinking I would prefer KC. I ended up falling in love with the Joplin campus during my interview and completely changed my mind! I interviewed very early in the cycle, but I will say that KCU really takes their mission very seriously. If you align well with that you will most likely get an interview! Secondary received today! Submitted 7/26, Verified 8/3, email from KCU saying my primary was received 8/12 (yesterday). No MCAT score released yet (I'll get my score tomorrow). Is it safe to say that they go preferentially off of your GPA instead of MCAT score?
