When will Louisville begin pulling from the waitlist? Would this not happen until May 1st, even if some have withdrawn A’s recently?

They stated waitlist movement will begin May 1 and go up until orientation as slots become available.

I was accepted from OOS WL on May 1st, email around 1 EST, then a call!
Could someone post or send me the accepted students' GC?

I don’t have much hope to get off the IS waitlist this time around. Prepared to just work and take a gap year, reapplying for this next cycle. Not really trying to retake MCAT for 3rd time though, RIP

If it's not too personal, any particular reason why? I just want to know if you've heard anything!

I haven’t heard anything from UofL, but I have an average MCAT score compared to their matriculated students and my GPA is slightly less than their average. Just speculating that I am lower on waitlist and to just focus on the next cycle rather than worrying so much about getting off the waitlist. Technically there is hope, but I would rather be prepared as if I am not getting off the waitlist compared to just hoping I get an email for the next 2 months. Gap year job market has been tough though!

Hoping you get pulled off! Try applying to some DO schools as a backup next year just in case! Also if your stats arent making you stand out then maybe look into some volunteer/ work activities that will make you stand out! Good luck, I actually got waitlisted from UK this cycle from early decision and thought my cycle was cooked!

Averages are averages because there are people above and below them 🙂 Don’t count yourself out. Definitely make plans to reapply in case you don’t get off, but you are much much more than your stats. They interviewed you for a reason! This process is brutal though, so hang in there and take care of yourself <3

For full transparency the admitted GroupMe is at 145, not sure how many people aren’t part of it, but the final class size should be around 165

Thanks for the update! I reapplied for the next cycle and am waiting on my AMCAS to get verified before the 27th, I’ve got my gap year plans lined up and locked in since I expect to not get off the waitlist. Fingers are crossed for this next cycle!

Biggest of congrats to everyone who got an A this time around, it was more than well deserved and you should be very proud of yourselves for everything you’ve put into this to get where you are! Anyone who didn’t, no worries, keep plugging and the right timing will come around no doubt, if this is what you are meant to do in life. Good luck to everyone in this thread, you all are going to make amazing doctors and do fantastic in med school and beyond.
