does anyone know if they look at prereqs being completed before you are invited for an interview? I just got a II here today and I only took 2 quarters of math so I'm stressed since i might need to sign up for another math course before matriculation

Any updates on the accreditation status on this university. If it were to be my only acceptance, should I go or reapply. I am in a dilemma; not sure what to do.

also if there are any current students here can I dm you?

It’s still the same so far tbh. Also last year the match rate was % pre SOAP. The dean said he’s looking forward to a proper accreditation though

The final decision will be made in June before classes start. From everything I have read and heard straight from the Dean they are very confident they will get Full Accreditation in June. I guess the question is if they get the full Accreditation would you still question if you should go or not, because if they get the full accreditation and you reapply its going to be harder to justify why you didn't attend.

@josephpoolpo please try using a browser for your posts instead of the SDN app or Tapatalk app.
Your emoji-code filled posts should clear up
It's a technical glitch that isn't fixable

Guys any updates on if they’re still interviewing?
Historically, they've continued interviewing very late into the cycle. They mentioned during their info session last month that they might pull from the waitlist as late as the beginning of classes, which I think would suggest they're planning to continue interviewing for longer.

anyone have any insight on the interview? have one coming up friday

There's still hope! And even if it turns into a WL there's likely going to be good movement according to last year's SDN!

Last years SDN showed virtually no movement at all from the WL. In fact they interviewed late into June and MSAR showed 10 students that got off from a group of 40. This either means WL was ignored or perhaps everyone on the WL got into elsewhere, leading to further interviews in June

If we interviewed this past week, when do you all think we will know about the results? It is such weird timing with the reapplication cycle being around the corner and stuff.

Just so much is going on

wait 10 people got off out of 40 from the waitlist?

is there an accepted students' GC? +1 IS A off of the WL! WL on 2/13, A on 4/18
Congrats! There's a private Facebook group for accepted students. You should get an invite from the COM Admissions email some time soon, reach out to them if not. I got the invite in January a couple months after I was accepted, but that was early on and I assume they just hadn't set it up yet.

Interviewed in 2/7 just got put on the waitlist. Does anyone know what the movement off the waitlist is like here or is this just a soft R? Especially since the do not assign a specific number off of the waitlist
There’s a decent chance they’ll dig into waitlist through May, so hang in there.

Nooo 🙁 as someone who received no love from CA schools including my alma mater this is upsetting…guess I’d be moving away from my family
🙁 I’m so sorry, my friend. This was the only in-state school who invited me. My alma mater didn’t even send me a secondary 💔 Wishing you the best

I interviewed 5/2 and they said it was the last interview day of the cycle
This is surprising. They mentioned during the March info session that they might continue pulling from the waitlist as late as the start of classes, which I had assumed meant they planned to continue interviewing for a while longer. The Facebook group for accepted students also only has about 2/3 as many members as there are seats, assuming it's 118 like last year. Of course, all accepted students may not have joined the group.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I remember them saying it takes ~8-10 weeks typically to hear back after the interviews but, because it was the last interview day, they'd get back to us sooner (I think school starts in July?). At least that's what I recall hearing during our session, but if someone else who interviewed May 2nd could fact check me please?

How do you guys pay for this school? It is absolutely insane with the interest rates and the lack of FAFSA. The loan can grow up to $800000 by the end of one's residency. Paying that back takes an astronomically long amount of time. Can anyone pitch in?

I'm also interested in hearing from current students! I talked to some current MS1 and apparently a lot of them don't take out loans so I'm guessing they have the means to pay out of pocket. For those who have taken loans out, how do you plan on repaying them or is there financial help from the school?
