Just got the A! Interviewed 9/20!
yea not sure why it took them 8 weeks instead of the 4-6 weeks they told me, maybe I was barely accepted😭😭It took them that long?!
Don't stress it, very casual interview, review the SDN interview page and you will be over prepared.Anyone have any last minute interview tips here?
Same. I legit have gotten that email like 8 times. Maybe it’s a sign we need to visit 🤣If they send me any more fall tour emails I will cry. Where is my II😭😭😭
Maybe the secret to getting an interview is signing up for the tour🤔😂Same. I legit have gotten that email like 8 times. Maybe it’s a sign we need to visit 🤣
Got a call just now telling me I was selected for an interview! Made my Halloween day 🙂
Thanks! My portal was shortly updated after and I received an email confirming my interview date. Submitted 2* on 9/8 and was marked complete 9/30.Congrats!!! Did they also email/update the portal? Also mind sharing when you submitted?
Have you tried sending them LOI? That might help…I also interviewed on 10/25 but haven’t heard from them 😞Just got application update: WL. Interviewed 10/25. Honestly, I thought the interview went really well and was thinking I’d get the A. Disappointed… really hoping to get off the WL here! Anyone know the odds? Any advice for trying to keep yourself high on the WL?
FWIW, I interviewed on 10/15 and was WL on 11/8. Like you, I also thought I had good shot at an A, though I was definitely a nervous wreck during the first portion of my interview before slowing myself down and ending on (I think) a strong note. I am IS with strong ties to the community PCOM serves, and I got an II within 1 week of submitting my app to them, which made me think I did something right. Maybe it's just copium, but everyone I've encountered who interviewed in mid October and later seems to have been unilaterally WL or R with no As. My guess is the class already filled up and they've been interviewing for the WL since there's reportedly a ton of movement as some candidates choose other schools and don't want to pay multiple expensive deposits. N = 1, but I submitted a letter of interest/update letter a few days after I saw the WL. Whether or not that does anything, I have no clue. My stats are very strong for the program, so that may ultimately hold more weight... I honestly have no clue what crazy mental calculus adcoms use to evaluate us. Honestly, I just sent the letter to give myself peace of mind by knowing I did what was in my power to keep the door open.Just got application update: WL. Interviewed 10/25. Why did you withdraw?I just withdrew my A, best of luck to all on the WL and those waiting for an II, you got this!
Better offer somewhere else, keeps me closer to homeWhy did you withdraw?
Congrats on your As future doc! Your support means a lot, and I definitely appreciate your generous decision of withdrawing your A instead of simply waiting for the deposit deadline to elapse. I know not all folks with multiple As do that (for various reasons, some of which are totally valid!), but those who do withdraw their A sooner rather than later are real ones for shortening the agonizing wait for those in limbo to receive that final decision. Out of curiosity, are you IS are OOS for GA?I just withdrew my A, best of luck to all on the WL and those waiting for an II, you got this!
OOS, applied because a Doc I shadowed had gotten their degree from there and said it was a great school. I really did enjoy it and was considering it, but I got an IS A and felt like it was a better decision!Congrats on your As future doc! just the GA campusSo I got an II from the Suwanee campus, but since the PA/Suwanee application was two-in-one, is the interview just for the GA campus or for both?
It should be 30 minsHow long were your personal interviews? Mine starts at 10:40 but the interview day email says i should be done at 12:00 but does that mean my interview is going to be an hour??
If you are interviewing in person (as in my case), you do a tour of the campus, Q/A session, some campus information lectures, and the interviewHow long were your personal interviews? 4 bars since July over hereI've been at 4 bars since August....Should I be concerned? Is anyone in a similar spot?
Do you pass the deadline yet? Also, is it too late to apply? I retake my mcat this week and want to attend PCOM. Just unsure if I should just wait until next cycle since it's so close to February
Application deadline is February 1st and app has to be completed February 28. But it feels rushed now for my LORs, even though I will reach out to my previous letter writersDo you pass the deadline yet?
they send you email w account info so you can log in and check status. 4 bars mean everything from your side has been submitted, 5 means your app is under review, 6 is for interview and 7 is when u get your decisionWhat bars is everyone talking about?
