I've got an A back in September 2024, not long after II. However, I just got an A on a more established DO and now I am considering on withdrawing my A here. Seems like a nice school but the fact of being brand new and the private loans are a killer for me

How late OCOM will conduct interviews? In other words when the interviews will end? Appreciate a reply.

Established all the way, med school loans are no joke unfortunately

Personally I wouldn't let the fact that it's a new school deter me. In the history of DO schools, not one has failed to meet accreditation. Those on the board also have experience working at other, more established schools. OCOM has great rotation sites, basically a monopoly on all of the central Florida AdventHealth and Orlando Health hospitals. One of the sites, ORMC, is in the heart of Orlando and is a Level 1 trauma center. The only downside I saw was it being solely private loans.

Is Ormc an actually a site? It’s not on their list online. Also it seems like all the sites are around central Florida but none in Orlando. Unless you have insider info ?? I hope it’s true

Seems like a new agreement or structuring is in the works, in the past, all the sites were listed in 1 general list, now it’s divided into regions so maybe they will be using a lottery type of system or students get to elect what region they’d like to be in?

Not all of the advents it seems, Advent South (ORMCs “competition” in the downtown Orlando area), doesn’t seem to be a listed rotation site for OCOM
