2024-2025 Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (Middletown Campus)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
completely forgot to comment but IS II for Middletown was received on 11/1 and interviewed on 11/11. Had a great experience and was told to expect a decision within 3-6 weeks.

According to their website, only one student matched into internal medicine last year. Does anyone have any additional information about this? In previous years it looks like many students matched into IM.

I got waitlisted initially and now I'm done with my first semester at Middletown! Don't lose hope, about 50% of my friends at school were also waitlisted!!!
How long did it take to get off the waitlist, if you don’t mind me asking? Because I have seen couple people gotten off of it in just a couple days. And my email said they don’t review waitlisted students until mid may and that it’s ranked🥲

my email said the same thing and i'm stressed lol

What have you noticed about the culture there? Do you feel like everyone is pretty helpful? Or is it kinda everyone for themselves?
There are always going to be students that are out for themselves. However, I genuinely feel that the vast majority of students (both 1st and 2nd years) are super helpful and very nice. The culture is pretty good in that it isn't toxic/competitive.

It took me just about a month to get off! Don't give up hope at all, they review waitlists before May hahaha. Touro has a feeder Master's program (if you get above a 3.5 GPA in the Master's program you get automatic admission to the DO program), so they have to wait on the number of students coming in from the Master's because those people automatically have a seat.

Hello! I want to apply this month (i know I'm super late in the cycle). My stats are 3.0 sgpa and 3.3 cgpa and an MCAT of 509. Is there any chance I can make and is it still worth applying? I really want to start this fall, so looking for any advice especially from current students who may know the landscape.

Did anyone who interviewed 12/9 hear back? I forgot when they said we would get our decision.

Any interview tips/what to expect? My interview is coming up next week!

I want to send a letter of interest but my waitlist email says "any non-academic updates (e.g., a Letter of Intent or general updates) should not be sent until the beginning of May." I'm assuming I should avoid sending anything so it does not negatively impact my decision

Interview coming up and just wanted advice. Can anyone please share any experiences/insight they have? Anything helps please!!!!!!

It was a pretty chill two on one interview. They asked the standard questions (i.e. why us, why D.O., etc.) and wanted to get to know you. Nothing crazy at all

Did anyone else get a random thank you email from Touro today for attending a info session back in october? II in November, WL

Does anyone know where to find more information on that masters program that guarantees your spot for the next cycle?

You can look here for more info: MS Program

You'd need a 3.45 GPA to get the guaranteed admission but this is HARD to do. You take most of the same classes taught by the same faculty as first year DO students, and the exams are graded on a curve. My classmates who were former MS students mentioned how competitive this program was.
