Do schools have access to previous applications as a reapplicant?
Yes, but most likely don’t have time to look at it other than a quick glance to see what changed. Not sure how it’s used post interview

All schools have access to your previous application if you applied to them. Some schools do an in-depth look at your application and use it in their decision process, some schools glance at it to make sure you didn't randomly get 1000 hours from an activity you haven't done since freshman year, and some don't even consider it. You can probably find more information on each school online or in their information sessions (Wayne holds a reapplicant panel every year if I remember correctly for example).

How is everyone passing time until may? And how is everything thinking of spending the first week of may when days feel like months?

4 WL, 3 IS TMDSAS... I have continued working, volunteering, and trying to find out as much about the WL process I can. Literally on my mind everyday but I think in May I'll quit going on forums to preserve my mental sanity so that I don't have to torture myself with reading about other getting off and desperately hoping it's me next.

(3 WL) working 2 jobs and volunteering to boost my hours; lowkey too focused on surviving each day to worry much about WLs. just gotta keep grinding until i hopefully get an A, either next month or next year 🙃

5 II-->1 R (Pitt rip), 3 WL, 1 pending that said they likely won't give us a decision until mid-May, so feels like a WL mentally. Got tier-1 WL notification from one of these, rest don't give ranks. Manifesting good news for all of us in May, the wait is so draining, but we got this :,)

Does anyone know how people navigate applying to post-baccs and then also having a waitlist position? It feels like everything can end up moving very quickly if there’s no set date for when someone would hear back from a med school vs when they would have to commit to another program.

Question- once we hit commit to a school all my waitlist go alway too? I have a school saying it’s cte is april 30 but I’m waitlist at other school

CTE requires you to withdraw from all other schools, including waitlists. So yes (but I think you’re supposed to also personally withdraw from other schools, not just think CYMS automatically does it).

Make absolutely certain you’re not confusing PTE and CTE dates though, since PTE lets you hold only 1 acceptance at a time, but you can remain on all waitlists (and April 30th is the common PTE deadline for schools, not CTE).

Cte deadline will depend on school ? If school A has a deadline of April 30 then that’s when I have to commit?

On April 30 you will have to commit to that school with the early deadline or risk them taking back your offer 😕

Withdrawing from WL's is not automatic and is something you as an applicant need to do yourself.
If you have committed to a school (CTE) and they can see you are still on WL's, they could "remind you" to do that.

For my waitlisters, how are you managing reapplying. I just feel like I have to submit really early to get a head start but Ive been counting on the WL and reality is slowly starting to kick in. Feeling so stressed about getting all LOR and essays rewritten in such a short time.
