took MCAT twice with 27 both time (avging 36 on practice..but nerves got the best of me ...)

applying broadly.....that's for sure..
 
I had a 28 MCAT, 3.79 cGPA (3.72 sGPA).

My primary will be verified soon, but I'll update if I get any interviews + receive any love this cycle :laugh:

All ECs are in my MDApps though ^_^

Dude its only August... The only people interviewing now till like October are the superstars. All of us "normal folk" 27-31 (with decent GPAs) will interview after them. Its the natural order of things

3.8/29 and I have an interview with TCMC in the beginning of October.

Still no word from any other MD schools, though. 🙁
 
Wanted to add to this thread this cycle, since I have used it for plenty of motivation in the past:

AMCAS complete August 6th

Non-URM, 3.87 cGPA, 29 MCAT

Took mcat twice.
1st time 23P (8p, 7v, 8bio), 2nd 28 (11p,7v,10 bio), planning on improving verbal to a 10-11 if I don't get in this cycle. ESL learner so verbal was hard for me but it will come with practice!
URM, Cali resident, received FAP and applying to 25-30 schools all MD
Attended UC undergrad (grad 2012)

Hey guys. Update on progress for me: 6 DO and 3 MD II so far, with some promising prospects on the horizon. I definitely did not think I would be in a position to be selective about how many interviews I would attend. Keep your chins up, and don't listen to any negativity.
 
29/3.65 here - 1 MD interview invite I got a couple weeks ago.
Deafening silence from 29 other schools.

I think you will be fine as long as you apply to schools that will accept that kind of MCAT score range, particularly in-state schools or "low-tier" medical schools, but"low" still means prestigious and respectable US medical or osteopathic school. Since you submitted your application August, will probably be verified until October, but that should not stop you from trying.

My MCAT is in this range. 3.7+ gpa. 2 MD 1 DO iis so far. Transmitted in august so I'm hoping the ones I've heard nothing from are at least partially due to when I submitted.

27 MCAT (9/9/9) with 7 DO interviews. Working on my MD secondaries (applied to 5 MD). I'm completely burned out pumping out 16 DO secondaries, trying to find the energy to pull it together and submit the MD secondaries this week. Why are they so long!

3.95 science and non-science GPA and a 28R MCAT (8,9,11). Submitted all secondaries in late July and I have two DO interviews but no MD yet.

I'm from Florida so I'm hoping to at least get one or two MD interviews but I'm not too optimistic about it 🙁
 
4 MD II with a 27 MCAT.. There is hope guys!
 
I have a 30 mcat and no interview invites yet. Submitted primary June 21st. Are the majority of people out there still waiting on interviews? Im starting to worry a little, Ive gotten one rejection and all other schools have been dead quite (finished the majority of my secondaries late July/early August).

I have a 29 MCAT I applied to 14 MD schools.

I have 2 interview invites: both from in-state private schools, one with a mission that is extremely specific to my background.

I also have a "small pool" and a pre-interview hold at 2 other schools.

Other than that, nothing but deafening silence from the other 10 MD schools I've applied to.

I'm feeling pretty positive after having a strong week with three II. Now I have 4 total with my MCAT 29. 🙂 Most of my secondaries were done mid August!!

My II are Albany, Indiana, U Minnesota (Duluth), and Dartmouth.

woohoo! nice to see the underdogs getting some recognition! i have a decent mcat score, but a disgustingly bad gpa ugpa (and not many units for a postbacc year) so this thread is some serious inspiration. thanks, guys and congratulations!
 
2 DO ii so far. Hoping to have at least 1 MD ii. Fingers crossed.
